I am basing this rating solely on the service I received at my most recent visit. Our food was delicious.
A friend and I decided to come to 333 for dinner to celebrate my wedding anniversary since my husband was away for work (military). Upon our arrival, we ran into some friends who were also celebrating a birthday, so we decided to combine our reservations and eat together for a total party of 8. We had two extra people show up, one ate, one just had drinks so they moved us to a larger table, which was very nice and I appreciate the staff for being so accommodating. This is where our service became almost non-existent. Maybe our server had too many tables or decided not to pay attention to us because we were a younger group and wouldn't be his "pay off" table. Which was a completely wrong assumption because many of us worked in the restaurant industry and were prepared to tip on service. For the original party, it took almost an hour to receive our food, which almost all of us ordered the Sunday prime rib special. A few late arrivals ordered drinks which took more than 20 minutes to arrive, which is ridiculous. The worst part was the checkout process. Our waiter of course hadn't stopped by the table to ask how we would be taking our checks so brought us one check. Then we had to wait for him to return to separate the checks. Each of us wrote down the items to be included on each separate check so there were no mistakes and to make it easier on the waiter. Once the waiter finally returned, there were still mistakes on some checks and some items that were never even ordered by our table. Our check out process took over 30 minutes. I would be questionable to return here with a large group. For the food, once it was served, the prime rib was very tender and tasty and our desserts were delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. But the service...I was disappointed.
I've been twice to this restaurant so far-once for dinner and another time for lunch. I think it says that you have to dress up here, but that's not true. I wore a dress the last time I went in April and felt overdressed. It appears that a lot of people from the beach just stop by to eat here in their short and flip flops.
For how much they charge per entree, I assumed that the food here would be realllly good. It's really not. For dinner, the plates are overpriced for what they serve. And the portions are small. Nothing great. The best part of the meal is the bread. They don't provide you a basket but give you one warm roll of bread with maple/ brown sugar butter. The butter is delicious! If you want more bread, you have to ask the waiter and then it takes forever! I can barely remember what I had for dinner. All I remember is the feeling of wasted money after seeing the bill.
I went again for lunch recently in July hoping it would be better. It was a bad idea. The plate was dirty. We left it on the side of our table so we can ask the waitress for a clean plate, but she just put bread on it so we never got a chance to tell her there was dried food stuck to the plate. My water glass was dirty too with clear lip stick stains on the rim. Bright red lipstick stains...I don't see how they missed that. The food was bland. Not much flavor. I got a crab sandwich. It really didn't taste like anything. No seasonings. But at least it wasn't fishy. My fiance got the curry chicken salad and same complaint. No real flavor. He also found a hair in his salad.
This place really isn't worth it. The prices are too high and the food is bland. My dishes were dirty and the waitress was a bit stand off-ish.
My wife and I decided to give Pacific 333 a try and I have to say it was pretty good. The atmosphere was great and service was friendly. The food is really good and they have a huge vodka selection at the bar. I think the food and drinks are a little on the pricey side, but you do get your moneys worth. I'm sure we will go back.
