4th Ave Ale House

Was here last night to see a friends band play. Omg. Most disgusting and unorganized bar I have ever been to. So crowded, wall to wall, literally standing room only and there are only 2 bar tenders working and no floor staff.  Wtf is that? I personally don't care for heavy rock music so I thought the band's were terrible but they were probably ok it'd that is your thing. Staff very rude and rushed. Many patrons we also rude. The women's bathroom? I have not seen a more gross bathroom anywhere. Bad enough that I choose to hold it for 2 hours rather than sit on that toilet. All in all, I will never come here again.

Love it. Best bartenders, tons of variety, Oly's largest music venue, and local seasonal clams. Decent pub fare, lots of games. I own Last Word Books, the independent bookstore and print shop across the street, and we have affectionately dubbed the long table in the front window our 'office.' Good folks to have on your block, they defend their own, keep an eye on our turf and treat everyone fairly and neighborly.

The bartenders are assholes, and the place is filthy.  One of the bartenders looks like he hates life, and constantly has a blank expression on his face.  Scary! There are interesting people who frequent there - but don't waste your time or money.
