Excellent margaritas! The house margarita was strong but also delicious! (The flavored margaritas are a little too sweet for my taste.) Their salsa and guacamole are out of this world. As with traditional Mexican food, the dishes can sometimes be on the more bland side, but asking for some hot sauce will fix that right up!
Review Source:Acapulcos is one of the better restaurants in the area that offers consistent and tasty Mexican food. For a suburb, this restaurant is SUPERB which is why my friends and I always went here when we went out for food; for the city, the food is average.
Here's our typical meal:
Chile con queso dip (Cheese dip) with chips
Fajitas for two (with Steak/Chicken, Shrimp)
Fried Ice Cream
We came here once every few months for the last 6 years and we haven't gotten tired of the food and haven't had a bad experience.
Came for lunch and was very satisfied with 4 things: Â 1. The service was prompt, with fresh chips, salsa and drinks placed at our table immediately. 2. Our meals arrived at the table quickly. And, my meal was the lunch combo, with a chicken chimichanga and pork enchilada. 3. The portion sizes were large. We all were stuffed, and had leftovers because it was a lot of food. My entree also came with rice, refried beans, and salad. 4. The food was very good and tasted fresh. Most everything was well seasoned and tasty. So, as a result, this may be one of my new favorites for tex mex.
Review Source:Acapulcos does a good job. Â It's consistent, tasty, reasonably priced, and for the middle of suburbia-bordering-rural, definitely a gem. Â It's like Mexican comfort food.
The servers are so friendly and helpful, and that does affect the experience quite a bit. Â The higher end margaritas are flavorful but not too sweet. Â I've had takeout and the quality of the food did not suffer. Â No complaints here!
Been here a few times on my lunch break at work. For what it is, I think this place is great. i get the fish tacos, which are ok - I have had better. But I really like the Acapulco burrito, the carne asada and the pollo crema....with corn tortillas. The chips and salsa are great and the service has always been effiicient and friendly. I have had the margaritas a few times after hours and am always satisfied. For a "franchise" type place your really can't beat this place....it almost compares to a ma and pa shop with the food and service.
Review Source:I love Acapulcos! Anytime I'm in the mood for some fajitas or margaritas, I stop here. My fiance and I come here quite often. We are always greeted by the friendliest of people. Salsa and home made chips are brought to you immediately. The service here is great, everyone seemed to be right on top of things, like drink refills, etc.. Would suggest Acapulcos to any authentic Mexican food lover.
Review Source:I know people love this place for after work drinks, but I was looking for a good meal. Â The chicken chimichanga was disgusting- tortilla was soggy- served on a plate sitting in a pool of oil- totally gross. Â The rice was bone dry and tasteless. Â Would rather go to the Alamo up the street.
Review Source:Came here last night for a girls night out/bday celebration. Â There was 8 of us and they sat us almost immediately and had chips and salsa waiting for us.
The service was absolutely spot on last night. Â They were always there to bring us drinks or see if we needed anything else! Â The food was really good and came out really quickly. Â It looked like we had a waiter and the manager helping out - which was nice to see. Â Since we were celebrating 3 birthdays they brought out 3 fried ice cream desserts gratis, sang and put Mexican hats on them.
They definitely know what they are doing when it comes to make drinks here. Â My pina colada was even strong never mind the margaritas you could smell from across the room.
This is not a place I would order from again, I have been to many mexican restaurants and Acapulcos is nothing special in my opinion, the burrito I ordered was soggy and flavorless and the ingredients on my nachos were not evenly distributed so once I was finished with the top layer there was still a big pile of toppingless chips left on my plate. After reading other reviews I guess it could have just been a bad day for them but it scarred me for life and I would much rather drive down the street to the Alamo where I know the food is consistently delicious. I guess to each his/her own though.
Review Source:I grew up in Colorado and periodically I get home sick for great Mexican cuisine, which is very hard to find in New England. This place has the best most authentic Mexican cuisine I have had on the east coast. The menu is big and so are the servings. The price is also very affordable and the margaritas are amazing! You will love this place.
Review Source:I have been loyal to this group of Mexican restaurants since the very beginning in Sudbury,ma. For ten years, my bride and I have enjoyed Acapulco dinners at least monthly. Not once have we been disappointed. For that price level, This Mex/American cuisine is great. Â I have recently experienced a personal health crisis, and over this difficult time, the family at acapulcos has treated me like family!
From birthdays to business dinners and quick lunches, food is fresh fresh fresh! Custom orders are always well executed- I never order off the menu. Â Every drink I order is made from scratch, exactly the way I like it.
Even though I live close to Framingham location, I feel comfortable at any store in the chain. They're always great!
Without fail, I feel welcome, like I'm coming home.
Take my recommendation seriously; I'm a trained chef, caterer, and well trained husband!

This is where I've been taking my family for Mexican since the Alamo went down hill. They still make a good margarita, so long as you spend a little extra and get something other than the house (sour mix) margarita. We like the Presidente. Usually nice and strong. The chips they give you when you first sit down are usually hot, home made, very good, but the salsa is very watery, and not very hot. I like salsa a lot, better salsa would go a long way in earning another star. We always get the Nachos Ultimos, they do a good job of balancing the toppings, not completely smothered in cheese like some places do. I usually get the oceano burrito or pacifico chimichanga, and I've never been dissapointed. Last night I got Arroz con Camarones, and I think maybe the shrimp were a little bit over done, but it was still pretty good. The margaritas were not as good as usual, maybe the regular bartender was off duty. The staff appear to be all Mexican, and they are always very attentive and courteous. I think we go to the Acapulcos in Franklin about as often as we go here, and our experience is about the same.
Review Source:The bar is the best thing about this place  But I lived in Ca so I have high standards for Mexican  (if you cant get a goat burritto its not legit) They don't skimp on the tequila tho and they have a good selection. That's surprising for a chain. And the help are all Mexican. The food has been Americanized...standard retried beans and rice, enchiladas, etc.  They do the singing thing for birthdays which was great the first time I heard it but after 1000 or so, its getting old.
Review Source:The food here was pretty good. I had a pork dinner plate that had an awesome; the meat itself was quite tender and the marinade/sauce was very good.
Two aspects that would have garnered a better rating: (1) the decor of the restaurant could use some updating. Most of the items on the wall look more like party favors than decorations. (2) The flavors of the margaritas didn't meld very well.
This is definitely a family-themed restaurant. There were many parents with smaller children there. Small bar in the front when you get in with a small draft selection.
I love this place! It's as authentic as I've found north of the Washington DC region....and I'm always looking. Considering other Mexican options, this clearly takes the cake. Fresh tortilla chips, excellent salsa, and of course, great margaritas. Decent prices will keep me coming back.
Review Source:The best of the Tex-mex establishments in the Milford area, with friendly service, warm chips, great salsa and no bad surprises on the menu. Â The pulled beef dishes and spinach enchiladas are worth recommending and for those who like to sweat while they eat, the habanero salsa is a must. Â Unlike most of the restaurants in this area, Acapulcos does an terrific job of keeping up with the weekend crowds while still maintaining friendly, quick service.
