My travel companions picked this place. Â It had been a long day of training and we wished to keep it simple: Â sammiches and dwinks. Â Well, sammiches and dwinks we got. Â I have been on a very long quest for the perfect Reuben and the perfect Bloody Mary. Both were outstanding at this establishment. Â The menu was mostly typical bar & grill fare, though there were a few surprises such as a blue gill dinner and a mahi mahi wrap. Â Everyone in our group seemed to really like their food. Â The fatigue we were experiencing may have influenced our perceptions, but I would definitely go back if I were in the area.
Review Source:We spent last weekend participating in ice-Frisbee golf, and this bar seems to house a majority of the event. Â They served a great lunch for everyone that was there for the event, so we did not have to order off the menu. Â If the regular food is anywhere as good as the buffet, I would eat there. Â It was really busy, and you could tell they were a bit short on staff, as the owner was running around clearing tables. Â I was a bit surprised at the prices, given that were were up-north, but they were at least strong. Â We had a blast, and I look forward to stopping back for the 4th of July.
Review Source:Nice atmosphere, easy lake access, decent food. Â Service could be better.
I stopped at the Yacht Club while boating at 3:00 PM on the 3rd of July looking for a quick sandwich for me and a friend. Â The bartender told me the kitchen was closed and they weren't serving any food until that night's fish-fry (it was a Friday) at 6:00 PM. Â
I asked to speak with the owner to confirm this as I couldn't believe that a restaurant in a seasonal tourist-based economy would really turn down business in the busy season. Â Sure enough, he just shrugged at me and told me that the bartender was correct.
I can't justify spending my hard-earned money at a business that clearly doesn't understand basic principles of customer service on general principle. Â I have been back there, but only if I'm meeting others out that are already there, or for some reason have to be there.
