The Alcove Restaurant & Lounge

We were in Mt. Vernon to see a friend who was in Grease. We looked on Yelp and picked the alcove. The place was nice, service was fine. I got the crab and asparagus soup because someone on yelp said it was good. To quote Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm..."You'd have to be a moron to not know the difference between real crab and imitation crab". It was fake crab in the soup. That should require a disclosure. For the price I should have known.  Everything else was good. My wife liked her food and it was reasonably priced. The fake crab however, is, a deal breaker.

Had lunch.  Great variety.  Very friendly and great food.  Great prices for lunch!!
