These jerks refused to serve us when we said we wanted to get a beverage (non-alcoholic an they serve cans) to go! I have never heard of that before and I will NEVER EVER go again and I will tell everyone that they should stay home! I would rather drink toilet water!

This is a last resort kind of place for hookah. If you're in the area and don't feel like traveling far, then this is it.
They're overpriced on tobacco and coals.
The environment and ambience is like a D-
Its just old tables that have been sitting there for years. I wish they'd make the place nicer. It's always empty there, few of the tables filled. I say, just go somewhere else. The food isn't that great either. It's just a "okay" place for smoking. That's it
Expect weird empty crowds all the time.
Usually the high school-ers see it as the "hot spot", which is why I avoid it.

I've been to this place several times over the past couple years. Initially, the service was okay and the Shisha was also reasonable. They occasionally asked for a cover charge, too.

The past few times however, were a different story. I went one night after a birthday celebration with a group of 5 people.

The place was empty, nowhere near busy and they waiter came to our table several times, insisting that we all must buy drinks. I understand if the place was packed and people were waiting in line to get tables, but the place was empty and he kept hassling us. Then we ordered water at 4$ a bottle which i thought was outrageous.

Also, the Shisha has always been mediocre at best. On this particular night, I asked for Blue Mist, which I've been smoking for 4+ years at several different places. This time they brought me something that didn't taste remotely like Blue Mist, and then refused to fix it, telling me I was wrong.

Also, I'm a tea drinker and their mint tea is terrible. They use dried mint instead of fresh mint, which makes it bitter and no amount of sugar helps.

Overall, I won't be back again. There are several other shisha bars in the area that I'd rather spend my money at.

Love the food, the music is sick and nice atmosphere.  Good Argileh/Shisha/Hookah.  All around good time.

After hearing so much about this place, I decided to go check it out with my girlfriends. It looked like a cheap cafe shop from the chairs that they had. We went in at around 8pm it was almost empty. We ordered appetizers and entrees the fatir was great, I was not a big fan of the fried calamari, the shrimp pasta was the best I ever tasted which I never expected it from a mostly Lebanese restaurant. At 9 pm the waitress came while we were not all done eating, started cleaning cleaning our table and asked us to go pay the entrance as there is a cover fee after 9!! What we were still eating !!. The show did not look like something I would have stayed for so we payed and left.

too expensive for my young blood.  This spot is tricky, they will run a muck with you if you dont keep your eyes peeled.  They will jack up the prices, the weekends are outragious.  The soda is too high, the cup is small and they give you no refills. so you are left with a kids happy meal soda. and no toy.

if you go there on a sat night you will end up spending over 20 per person.  They are taxing the cattle here too much.

My husband and I ventured to Alif Laylah for their "All you can eat Kabob" special today, and I returned with mixed feelings.

I didn't expect the place to be a hookah bar. In fact, it was my first experience in such a setting. The restaurant was dark and the ambiance was dim. The seating was casual.

While we opted and waited on the all you can eat kabobs, I tried hard to admire the mural on the wall that depicted scenes from the Middle Eastern fable. Along with us, there were a couple of other diners who seemed to enjoy the hookahs. On the whole, the ambiance left me a little uncomfortable. It wasn't a place I would bring the kids and enjoy a family friendly meal.

However, the food depicted another story.

The kabobs were awesome! We tried the lamb, chicken and the beef kabobs that came with rice, raita (yogurt), salad and chole (chickpeas).

Juicy and succulent, the kabobs were tender and full of flavour. I was surprised how well-cooked the meat actually was!

The food was great. But it did a while to get those kabobs. So, order the second plate the moment you start on the first one. The All you can kabobs option is only available until 2pm.

The All you can eat kabobs costs $10.99 per person.

Great place for hookah, drinks, food and a relaxing/enjoyable atmosphere. Wednesday's are Persian night and they're extremely fun! Good DJ as well! Not a "club" but a very nice lounge with great parking.

I didnt really like this place for hookah although food options seemed decent. The service was horribly slow and had to practically wave our arms overdramatically like an traffic controller to get service at our table. This place desparately needs more comfortable, more lounge-like seating instead of diner tables and chairs. Crowd could be better too.

We drove 40 minutes  from DC to check out this place without checking out yelp reviews - that was our first mistake.

We called to make reservations and to ask about the entertainment, specifically whether they had a belly dancing show. The man who answered the phone said we should be there early because the belly dancing show began at 10:30pm sharp. We took his suggestion and found ourselves surprised for a few reasons:

    1. They have a $10 cover charge - they did not mention it when we called.

    2. The cover charge is not even worth it. The ambiance/atmosphere  is not worthy of a cover charge. Trust me, this is no Buddah Bar. Instead it is a lunch joint in a strip mall.

    3. We ordered the $10.99 hookah but they charged us $17.99.

    4. We ordered two Midori sours -- but they were actually sweet and sour liquor with rail vodka. I had specifically asked for brand name and not rail drinks. However, they charged the brand name price.

    5. Surprise surprise: NO BELLY DANCER!!!

    6. Instead, they had a three-man show. A guy on playing the keyboard, a man "playing" the tabla and by playing I mean tapping it every few minutes. The guy on the keyboard made all the tabla sounds. And a singer who tried.

    7. How about the crowd you ask? Well, on the older side. Think aunt and uncle. This is not a place where you go with your friends (or at all actually).

    8. Lastly, there was some interesting dancing going on. A beige suit-clad man in his 50's took the stage on the first song.  He danced so weird, as if he was meditating while twirling on this toes.  He made made us feel uncomfortable by staring at us as if inviting us to join him  to make buffoons out of ourselves.

Bottom line: For what it is, they shouldn't be charging cover.  They thrive on HIDDEN PRICES.  Watch out.

This place wasnt bad. I went to lunch and had  the baba ghanoush which was pretty good, but needed a little lemon and salt.  The beef shwarma platter was pretty good, the meat was really good.  The place was empty when i got there, but the staff was polite and quick with the food.  I will go back there again and try a few other dishes......they have a TV there running espn and sometimes international music videos, cool place to chill out.

Not a bad place if you're looking for hookah and liquor and don't want to get out to DC/Arlington.  However, the hookah prices become really expensive during the weekends.  And Thursday, also.  Either Thursday or Wednesday.

Their website lists hookah at $9.99.  But when I came, they said that's only the weekday price.  It's actually close to $20 for hookah.  Almost double.  Tricky advertising.

The place is decent enough.  A little awkward to find, if you've never been there before.  It's tucked into the corner of a shady looking strip mall.

Never a complaint on the hookahs.  They offer a variety of flavors and come out pretty quickly after ordered, along with the hookah "condoms''.

The seating is kind of awkward and the Turkish coffee gets 0 stars.

You just gotta love this place!!! Great middle-eastern food in a sort of neo-traditional atmosphere, along with all the trimmings, including traditional music, Hookah's, and yes.... Belly Dancers (on Friday and Saturday night w/ $10 cover)! Highly reccomended!
