Hey John. To bad we have to drive all the way to Atwater to enjoy your great drinks and awesome food . But its ok. The bartenders and security guards are better here any way.but it would be nice if you would kick the rite people out of your turlock location and not the locals that been spending there monney in there since we we're practicly born. Tuolock is going to shit. Don't be part of it. and you should fire that secuarty guard Manuel. that work at the grave yard. Hr lets in under age girls so he can bang them.

Review Source:Finally went in and tried this place. I went in with my family on 8/9/12. I ordered the Ortega burger and it was the best. My sister ordered a pizza and it was AWFUL (-1). The second time I went in, my mother ordered a chicken dish and it was a disaster. The waitresses are a bit snobby sometimes. Food comes out fast. Â Good for a nice quiet lunch.
Review Source:I used to love eating at this restaurant; it was my favorite place in town. Â The waitstaff is always very pleasant, and as far as I know have never forgotten anything I ordered.
Then I tried a steak. Â I asked for it rare. Â It came out a charred lump of something that probably used to be meat.
I decided to try again the next time I was there. Â I told them I wanted my steak blood-rare. Â Again, I was given what appeared to the victim of a flamethrower attack on Normandy beach. Â This time, I informed them that I would not be eating nor paying for the steak. Â The waitstaff was very understanding and accommodating. Â The cook, on the other hand, came out and demanded he be allowed to inspect the steak.
Since that night, every time I go in there he's given me a dirty look - apparently, I'm the jerk in this scenario.
Tonight, I wondered why he kept wandering out of the kitchen and into my section, stretching or moseying, or maybe just stretching his legs. Â He seemed to be making it a point not to look at my table much.
I suspect he was hoping to be there for the big moment when I ate the two short, black, curly hairs I found neatly placed under the central biscuit on my biscuits and gravy order. Â And to answer your next question? Â No. Â Nobody working there has hair like that on their heads.
I left my card with our waitress (who was appalled, apologetic, and comped our meal), and requested that I be given a call once that man no longer works in their restaurant. Â I will not be eating there again until then.
I think I prefer this place over Denny's. It's much smaller but the service is so fast. Out waitress was a really nice and cheerful lady, especially having it be late at night around 2 a.m. The manager was a very gentle man. He talked to us and made jokes with us. I honestly love the little glass cups that they serve us, although it probably only takes two gulps to drink all the water in the glass. The manager came to our table and asked if we wanted the bigger cups. I kept my little one. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and my, oh my, this meal was a meal for three. I got the special price which was $7.99 compare to the original price $9.99. I also got the biscuits with gravy on the side, well, it actually came with my order, but I forgot to eat it. I thought my sister's bf ordered it for himself. I felt like an idiot, but I was pretty full after eating the steak, eggs, and hash brown. The customers were pretty cool except for this man who was literally staring at me while I was talking to my sister's bf's friend. It was awkward so Ryan (sister's bf's friend) and I just gave eachother the "look" and the man stopped staring. I had a good night coming here. I'm glad we chose this place instead of Denny's. Everyone was so friendly and so generous. I felt like they really did care about us as customers and treated us well. Even when we came here after the bar while everyone was a little intoxicated. I will definitely come back to this place in the near future! Great experience!
Review Source:I went here with my boyfriend today around 11 am. I wasn't hungry right then but ordered avocado burger to go. My bf had ham & eggs & coffee. He said the food was ok. The waitress was terribly slow. Forgetting our two waters, talking to other customers, not putting my burger order in until we were ready to go, etc. I am a local & was very disappointed. I will never visit this restaurant for any reason again.
Review Source:This place is <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbomb.com&s=bb4f996415a9c2f21137e27cfb68f439a48cec2652b53e9b50dd7e766dbe177e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://bomb.com</a>. It's been around forever, has great diner food, and great drinks, and best of all, it's super cheap. Everyone who's ever waited on me there has been super friendly.
Review Source:Your classic off the highway road diner. The only thing I think it has going for it is classic home food and it's open 24 hours. I guess the local older crowd find comfort in hanging out at this place as it seems to always have a full parking lot at any hour.
Had the level 3 Jalapeno burger, which was nothing special, but delicious nonetheless.
I don't think they need to change the're vibe, just maybe improve their menu offerings and add something to give them the hometown edge.
I will not be going back as the decor is very old, they need to invest in a remodel and update, and the "fabulous salad bar" they advertise on their outside windows was nothing at all special, they didn't even have tomatoes!
I had the hot beef sandwich and the roast beef was like rubber, I wasn't sure if it was real or what.
I recommend the breakfast "Super 2 Special" for $3.50. Two eggs; potatoes; sausage, bacon, or ham; pancakes, biscuits and gravy, or toast. Hit up the lounge late night for cheap drinks, a large selection of draft beer at only $2.50 to $3 for a 24oz. Friday and Sat nights are packed, so bring the breath mints!!
Review Source:I'd recommend the Almond Tree over nearby Denny's (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/eUNx7XGEWOXg2qw_spqe7g?hrid=WCF6o5-WLY3bdmS_brpQUg">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) because it is open 24 hours a day and serves alcohol.  The service is decent and the portions are big.
Vegan Report: This is one meat-tastic menu. Â You're going to have a salad because you can't eat anything else here. Â The pasta only comes with meat sauce.
