Whenever we're in Madison visiting relatives, we make a point of having lunch at Amici's. I can only speak for the pizza, but it has always been excellent. Staff is friendly, quick service - all good! I'd like to see them add a couple more large screen televisions to watch sports. Otherwise, very good and I highly recomend it.
Review Source:After spending 4 years in Athens and eating Amici at least a couple of times a month, I was excited to have the opportunity to eat at Amici in Madison, but I was SO disappointed. Evidently they have done a huge menu re-vamp that translates into waiting over an hour for food. I was excited about getting Buffalo Chicken GarCheeMar (Garlic Cheese Marinara) Bread, and was I ever disappointed! Not only did we wait for over an hour, but when I got my food it wasn't even the same thing that they used to serve. Don't waste your time going to this Amici if you liked the one in Athens! I'm not sure whether the menu in Athens has changed. As of last fall, it had not, but if it has, go ahead and avoid it too.
Review Source:Amici's Cafe is one of those rare finds in a small town that you don't always expect to find. We were passing through Madison, GA and the desk clerk at the hotel where we were staying recommended it. The small restaurant in the historic district was packed with diners. but we only waited 10-15 minutes for the hostess to seat us. Â We ordered The Works pizza and a 12-pack of the honey hots wings. Delicious! They had a wide variety of bottled beer and I enjoyed the Sweetwater Brewing Co Georgia Brown Ale. We will definitely be back the next time we go to Madison.
Review Source:I judge a good restaurant by being CONSISTENTLY GOOD, EVERY TIME I go there to eat. Amici's is one of those places that are rare to find and they have remained consistent with the good quality food they prepare. You have to try their HONEY, HOT, GARLIC chicken wings. Now it is very important that you order them EXACTLY like I just described. These wings are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! I am not a chicken wing fan, but these are truly succulent pieces of heaven on earth. These are MEATY wings, not the little wings you may be used to. The people that work there are also fantastic. The cook actually comes out and talks with you. You can tell he loves what he is doing and DOES IT WELL. I drive almost 2 hours round trip to get these wings, because they are just that good. I have tried their salads and calzones. They were also excellent, but you have to try the HONEY, HOT, GARLIC chicken wings. The ABSOLUTE BEST WINGS you will ever eat.
Review Source:I was in Madison to work on a commercial and we where trying to find a bite to eat the first night we got in. A bit late at 10:30pm We called and they were closing, but ended up staying open for us to get a bite. It was just great small town hospitality. The chef/owner came out with our pizza and chatted with us for a few mins while his staff was closing up and putting the chairs on the counters! This place is a definite stop in this town! They are wonderful, friendly, and the food is great. All home made sauces and pizza dough! Thank you guys we'll be back before we leave town!
Review Source:Fun place, noisy and full of local people, many with kids. Â We like that. Â Pizza was excellent, great crust. Â We had the traditional pizza, have not tried the specialties, which look interesting. Â House salad lettuce a little on the brown side, but no worse than the end of the bag at home.
Review Source:Great little neighborhood pizza place on the adorable little square in Madison, GA. While the service was at times spotty, they were covering a lot of tables and it was all good. The food was good, excellent King Caesar, which is a standard Caesar meets Greek salad. The desserts were really something and great mini cannoli's. Make sure to give them a try if you're in the neighborhood!
