Anchor Produce Market

Five years we've been coming to LBI and we always rent the same house, which is 3-4 blocks from Anchor.  This place always has what I need.  Forgot baby powder...they have it.  Forgot shampoo, yep- got that too.  Food?  Didn't want to buy corn or broccoli at home and bring it with you-fresh and delicious.  Cooking pasta and forgot bread...run up and get some.  And by the way, their fresh mozz is awesome (don't know where they get it, but it's great).

Yes, the prices are higher than off the island, but you're paying for convenience and their rent.  The staff are always helpful and friendly-never had a bad experience here and I will continue to patronize this place as long as we keep coming to the same house each year!

Great, and convenient grocer.  Reasonable prices, fresh produce, yummy salads at the deli counter, and awesome sandwiches.  Best part is Judy the Beauty, tell her Big Red sent ya!

I worked here during the summers while I was in high school.  The family who owns and runs this place are great - Hi Judy!!!!

Her macaroni salad is the only one I'll eat - light on the mayo and great on taste.  They have everything you need in a pinch on LBI.  This is where I learned what a shallot was!  Try out their produce - it's fresh and tasty!  I have eaten their Jersey corn every summer that I can remember.

Also - Judy makes amazing sandwiches - I love the spicy turkey on a french roll with the horseradish cheese!!!!
