Excellent appetizers; great Onion Rings! Â Food is very good overall. Â Staff is friendly and service is quick. Â It is a smoking establishment in the main bar. Â The non-smoking section is smaller and sits outside the main. Â You do have to enter the smoking section in order to use the restrooms :-( Â It's a great place to watch a game with friends. Â If you're not a smoker (and I''m not) the environment may not appeal to you. Â I don't mind it so much myself, but there are times when you get a Cigar smoker in the house ....whew..... Â But I still go back. Â They also have a rewards program that accumulates based on your spending. Â After 75 points, you get "Talls for Smalls". Â You can accumulate points to received Gift cards, and dollar credits to spend in the pub. Â Nice place.
Review Source:My husband and I went here for our date tonight. The service was prompt, the food was good. I got a "cherry cream soda" grown up. It was very yummy, but I have 1 drink every 30 days or so. My only compliant is that it is pretty smokey... but that is to be expected, as it is a bar. Also my husband said he wished that his portion size was bigger. I however was content with mine. Another huge thing is we used a groupon, they gave us no problems and were very happy to accept it.
Review Source:This has became my all time favoirte bar! The food was amazing, our service was incredible and friendly, and the drinks were cheap! My husband and I drank for hours and our bill was exceptionally low. (Lower then i thought it would be for this area) There was numerous tvs and a great selection of music. The drinks were all tasty. Just stop reading and go enjoy Baileys already!!!
Review Source:I went here to watch college football. Â My two major problems:
1.) Â A majority of the restaurant is a smoking section, including the bar. Â
Ugh, 'tis my life in Virginia.
2.) Â According to the server, the channels on the TVs do not change. Â So you cannot request a specific game to watch, which I think is lame.
Otherwise, I like this place. Â I was hanging out in the back section (which I think is technically smoking, but the server said that people go to the middle area to smoke due to kids being present in the back), where the University of Michigan Club of Tidewater was having a get-together. Â Nice set-up, with plenty of high tables for four and a longer bar table right in front of the TVs. Â Service was good and my turkey melt ($7.99) was fantastic. Â The bacon and grilled sourdough was impressive, probably due to the high caloric content :) Â "Crispy fries" were also delish, crispy on the outside/soft on the inside and nicely seasoned.
I was rather impressed with this place on my second visit there. They had a great Friday happy hour - $2 Dos Equis, $3 Coronas, $4 Margaritas = YUM. So we sat at the bar and had a few drinks, the bartenders were friendly and very attentive - if my drink got low they were politely ask if I need another one. They had a lot of good looking items on the menu but we decided on splitting a helping of chicken nachos. They were huge, definitely too much for me by myself. The chicken on them was pretty scarce and there were beans on them, which i typically don't like, but overall they had a very good flavor. I will be back in the future to try some more menu items.
