Had a fantastic dinner here last night. Â They only serve dinner on Thursday (Italian night) and Friday nights. Â The five of us were seated by a window overlooking the golf course. Â We began with drinks (they have a full bar) and fresh sourdough bread. Â Next we had the Banny's Classic salad, a longtime favorite. Â Entrees included filet mignon with Gorgonzola butter sauce, a surf and turf combo of New York steak and prawns, chicken with portabella mushrooms, and a pork chop. Â All were cooked to perfection. Â Our server was prompt, attentive, and friendly.
This is a family run restaurant that has always served fresh, creative California cuisine. Â Ten minute drive from downtown Sonora and well worth it!
Went to Bannys thinking it was as good as it was when it was down town.Boy, were we wrong. The waittress was much more concerned with the young male customers than us. Didn,t bother to tell us the specials so I ended up with the worst burger I,ve had in a long time. Was looking for a pasta dish but not seeing anything we had to settle for the burger. Come to find out, when I saw a pasta plate being served to the young man on the deck, there was a pasta special. Never was told about it. Wattress delivered our food and we never saw her again. All the good reviews are talking about the old Bannys down town, not the one at  Mountain Springs golf course. Won't be back until they start caring about what they are doing. Also: service was slow and we didn,t even get the food the way we ordered it.
