  The Beef House opened in the mid-60s, and is still owned by the same family. Other than newer TVs, the place is basically the same... no renovations since I can remember, other than a new faucet on the sink in the bathroom.  :)   It's a neighborhood bar. And SMOKING IS ALLOWED.
  
  The beers and drinks are cheap, and the bar food has always been good - burgers, roast beef and ham sandwiches are my favorite. Very good onion rings, too!
  
  When the place is really crowded, it's smoky, but they have decent ventilation. Of my friends who visit it, only the ex-smokers complain about the smoke... go figure.

  The Beef House is a one of a kind place. I've been going here sporadically for 10+ years and it never disappoints me.
  Yes, it is a dive bar. Yes, EVERYONE in there smokes(except me apparently). You will smell like smoke when you leave.
  They have about 5 beers on tap and a bunch in bottles/cans including Busch and Schmidt's in cans.
  The Beef House also serves up some cheap food. It is nothing to write home about but it is consistent and its all prepared right in front of you in the bar area. They have not let me down in the food dept yet.
  The bartenders are great especially the Asian lady who is always working the bar. She alone is worth the visit to the Beef House. She is funny as hell and her rendition of 'Country Road' by John Denver she was singing last night for the WVU game had us all laughing and wanting to stay a little longer.
  Bonus because this place is in the Westgate Mall and you can park your car anywhere so those pesky cops will just think you're shopping.
  If you're on a dive bar crawl, as we were last night, please stop here. You won't be disappointed. We didn't want to leave but had to because we had some other spots to hit.
  So, come to the Beef House for their cheap reliable food and affordable beers and off the wall atmosphere. Good times for all!
