Biker Jim's Restaurant

Before even coming to Denver, I already had this location bookmarked to try.  Luckily every in the group decided to join me on this adventure of exotic dogs.  Half of our group decided to drive there, while the other half and I decided to walk there thinking it was not far.  We walked to this location from the Sheraton which took us about 30 mins to get there.  

Good idea on our part as we did not have to wait for a table since our other party got there first and saved us seats.  There were so many to choose from as I looked at the wall and knew I could not try everything I wanted.  However, my other friend was willing to split our portions three way so I was able to try 3 kinds.  

We got the Elk with Jim's Classic topping, Southwest Buffalo, and Alaskan reindeer with the desert topping.  We also got the fried mac and cheese, plus an order of fries.   Mmm so yummy and so much food.  We literally stuffed ourselves trying to finish everything.  We all agreed that the Southwest buffalo was our favorite of the three.  Also the fried mac and cheese was really good as well.

When my group and I walked into Biker Jim's and looked at the chalkboard menu, our reaction was one of complete awe. Whaaaaaaaaat?! Elk, rattlesnake, and buffalo hot dogs, to name a few?! And what were these crazy toppings? And a simple but great selection of good craft beers plus PBR? Delicious all natural soda fountain? Is this real life?

Needless to say, it was delicious and worth every guilty, decadent bite. One hot dog order was definitely enough- good size in a generous and tasty bun (I hate most hot dog buns). I'm glad yet terribly sad I don't live down the street like I used to- surely this would have caused me to frequent Biker Jim's 20 too many times.

There's nothing I can really say that hasn't been said in other reviews. Unbelievable taste, uniqueness, and quality. Tried the Elk Jalapeno Cheddar and the fiance tried German Veal, both out of this world. Just wish we lived closer to be able to try everything on the menu.
