Black Bear Bar & Bait

We stopped here to have a drink recently.  It was sort of dark, and it had a ton of Northwoods decor.  They had everything we needed.   I would not mind stopping back to try the food.

Loved this place last year and NOT SO MUCH this year!  Did not understand the difference .... and after having dinner there, we did see ads that the place changed ownership.  Well -- the ads lead you to believe this place is as great as it was and that is NOT SO MUCH.  The server girls were miserable and probably offspring that hate their lives ... sorry for that.  Pizza was awful and ribs were dry and where the heck are the awesome baked beans from last year????  Corners have been cut and it shows.

I have been to Black Bear in years past and found it decent place to eat but not any more. New owners and things have gone downhill. My burger was dry & tasteless. It did not arrive as ordered. We had to ask seneral times for silverware. Then halfway through the meal when we asked for a refill to our iced tea we were informed "refills cost extra." it was 100 degrees and they wanted to charge us extra for more iced tea. Needless to say I don't be returning!
