Went there July 5th and it was a packed house. Â We live in Big Bear and love the Black Diamond Tavern and go there often and did not expect it to be that crowded. Â Tina the bartender was overwhelmed and needed help in the bar area. Â The manager Jessica was awesome. Â She went beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Â Our food like always was wonderful. Â We had the Wedge Salad and the Prime Rib sandwich and it was so good. Â It is always consistently good. Â Jessica is doing an outstanding job managing the Tavern and will make sure you have a great experience there.
Review Source:Packed house on Friday 5 July. Â We sat at the bar. Â The bartender (Tina) was overwhelmed by the crowd. Â Bad management call to have only one bartender on duty on a holiday weekend. Â However, Tina worked like a champ! Â She was very attentive to all her customers. Â All of our drinks were perfect. Â We order the Black Diamond pizza as an appetizer. Â It was fantastic. Â My wife had the filet mignon (rare) for dinner. Â It was done perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Â Melt in your mouth.
The live music was a nice touch although they had a very limited selection of tunes (no Van Morrison).
And the final piece was a nice cocktail on the back patio looking up at the stars. Â
Great place with excellent service and food.
This restaurant was great!! Our waitress was fantastic!! I had the hangover pizza and my mom had the black bean chili. Both were delish! The wings were okay..nothing great, nothing bad but wouldn't order again. HOWEVER THE HOMEMADE KETTLE COOKED CHIPS WITH THE JALAPENO DIP WERE TO DIE FOR! AND they were complimentary!!!
