Lunch at the Happy Snapper was a great experience. I had the fish and chips and my companion had a grilled fish Reuben. Â The meals were well done and the service was great. Our server was actually the hostess and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The restaurant sits on the Indian River at the mainland side of the Jensen Beach Causeway . Parking is a bit of a challenge, but worth the effort. If you're in the area, be sure to add Happy Snapper to your list.
Review Source:We had a terrific time there one Saturday afternoon. As we were driving away, however, we noticed a large sign on the outside wall that advertised beer for $2 and wine for $4 during happy hour, which is listed as everyday until 7 p.m. When we got home, I checked our receipt, and we were charged full price for our drinks. This ruined an otherwise good experience. If you go before 7 p.m., be sure to make sure you are getting the special prices.
Review Source:We tried this place today instead of our regular Lily's for something new since it's on the water. This was a rare cold day in FL temps in the 40's, we walked in to temps in the 40's inside as well. They had no heat on. Â I don't know about you but having breakfast in the cold isn't very fun. Â It took about 15 mins to get a cup of coffee because they had one pot for the entire place and were making a new pot. Â As for the food, we had french toast with bacon, very limited breakfast menu because this place is actually a bar that serves lunch mostly and I think it should stay that way. Â The view of the water is great for a bar and bar food. Â Our french toast was chewy almost as if it was frozen microwave french toast, bacon was undercooked and the juice and milk were served in plastic cups. Â Overall we won't be back for breakfast but I'm not giving up on trying lunch for the outdoor seats with a view.
