Considering all the hype my friends gave this place, I decided to go here with a friend to eat out. Service was good for the most part, and the waitress give me some good recommendations or their beer.
Their homebrews are quite extensive! This is the place to go if you're looking to try some great Vermont beers. I had the Lincoln lager and was blown away with its crispness. YUM.
However, the food we ordered I found to be subpar. I ordered the Thai Basil Marinated Chicken Breast and it wasn't very tender and soft. In addition, they put the noodles in the coconut soup and I found the soup to be too salty and ruin my noodles.
The food can be hit-or-miss, but the beer is a must-try.
We drive almost a 90 minute drive from northern VT to eat at the Bobcat as frequently as possible... usually 4 times a year. In my opinion, there is no better restaurant in Vermont or New Hampshire. Their specials are always creatively devised recipes. As a microbrewery, they are also one of the finest in the U.S. If you like Imperial IPA or Stout, you can frequently find one here. The atmosphere is friendly, casual, and relaxed with a bushel full of character. Make reservations on weekends. They are almost always packed. LOVE THIS CAFE. I hope they never change.
