Not a fan, I have eaten here twice and neither time impressed me. First time I had pulled pork and brisket. Both were dry and wayyyyyy over done, I consider myself a BBQ guy and they just completely missed on this.
Second time I had the hillbilly hash... Another miss. The cheese was plastic and the other ingredients were below par.
Also my fiancé got sick shortly after we left, probably due to the greasiest sweet potatoes I have ever seen.

Gave this place 2 chances and I won't be going back.

Been there a couple of times for happy hour but never ate there. We split the meat platter which has a 4 meats on it. It was so much food for 2 people. Our son got the Bonfire buyer with the fried egg. It was awesome. The sides of corn and dirty potatoes were excellent. We will be going back soon.

I'm a local resident of Oviedo. The Bonfires location had gone through what seems like a hundred previous owners selling Bar-B-Que. Each time a new owner took over I faithfully gave it my best shot only to be seriously disappointing each time.  So when the current owners took over, remodeled, and changed the name, I took a deep breath and said to myself, "one more time".  My expectations could not have been lower. Then something magical occurred.  This new place, complete with a new indoor/outdoor bar, addition of new giant flat screen TV's, and a wait staff that looks suspiciously similar to the girls of Hooters, just blew me away.  To say Bonfires a bar-B-Que take on Hooters, is to do this place a serious disservice.  The BEST thing about Bonfires is the Bar-B-Que!!  The food is among the best bar-B-Que I have had, including many business trips to places like Texas.  And the prices are reasonable too.  The atmosphere and newly renovated location is merely icing on the cake.  I have been back many times since and it has become my favorite casual, affordable dining place in Oviedo.

Hi! I went tonight to check out our new restaurant in Oviedo. I am sure the men in Oviedo will be pleased by the servers. I have never been to a Hooters and don't plan on it. So that wasn't what I expected nor the environment I care for.

We had dinner and drinks at the bar. Took a bit as the girls were busy to get the bar wiped down and get drinks. Took three tries to get a menu. I didn't get one of my side orders but our order came in a timely manner. The server recommended the taters. Don't remember exact name. I was very surprised and disappointed as they were the type of potatoes you serve for breakfast. VERY strange to serve at a bbq restaurant. The sandwich though was fabulous. Forget name but it was first one on sandwich list. Perfect. Servers never asked how our meal was but I guess not surprising. But I was surprised that I gave a 30 percent tip for just adequate service and didn't even get any real thank you.

Bartenders are hard workers but not well trained on truly quality service. However they are polite. Food is good. My friend had the salmon and really enjoyed it.

I am not into sports bars at all but we have limited choices in Oviedo so I will stop in from time to time.

This reminded me of a BBQ take on Hooters.  The all female service staff was very attentive as well as attractive.  I was greeted by several staff with a genuinely warm greeting.  Flat screen TV in every direction with a simple sports bar open floor plan.  My Miller Lite Bottle was the coldest in town.  I ordered the Onion Jalapeño Stack to start.  It was like Onion Jalapeño  Sticks.  The sauce was tasty, but the pieces were too small and the presentation lackluster.  My second beer was just as cold as the first. I had a burger for lunch, the mushroom Swiss called Boy Howdy,  I believe.  I ordered the Angus burger mid rare, and that's the way it arrived.  It was delicious.  The burger was tender and flavorful with a hint of smoke in the background.  The kaiser bun was fresh and tasty as well.  Overall nice lunch.  I hear the evenings and happy hour are very busy.
