One day I arrived in Sapulpa a bit too early because of a scheduling error. Â Not have breakfast I walked along the main street and found the only opened restaurant. Â Upon entering two things caught my attention. Â One, the attempt at maintaining a '50s diner vibe by hanging as many era appropriate signs this small place could hold. Â Two, the loud droning of the air conditioning unit. Â I sat at the counter and could barely hear my server.
Food prices were reasonable, I got two eggs, three slices of bacon, hashbrowns and toast for under $7. Â Service was pretty slow which was surprising since there was only three other people there who had already been served. Â Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was overcooked and the hashbrowns likely came out of a freezer bag.
The non breakfast menu did not seem that impressive either. Â I also realized that this is a local chain. Â There has to be a better breakfast joint somewhere in the area or at least one where I can hear myself think
