Bourbon Street Grill

Known locally (to Claymont residents) as "The Coach House", it's kind of a take it or leave it kind of place.  No, it's not very glamorous, but the owner and wait staff are friendly and that's what counts.

I haven't tried the food, but I've heard mixed reviews--but my Amaretto Sour is always excellent.  I will say that it can be a little unruly and crowded at times--does have pool tables (even though 9/10 times they're filled) and the bar is quite pricey.

I't s a dive bar, what can be said? I went during the day for lunch ($5 eat-in sandwich/salad menu mon-fri, definitely worth taking a look) and the place was seedy and dark except for the small pools of light by the windows (we took advantage of one of those tables) and it was dirty. It is what it is. Pool tables, dart boards, an entire wall of tvs, and one of the longest bars in the area.

My blackened veggie po boy was hot and fresh tasting, and flavorful. I didn't really notice any blackened seasoning on there...but no complaints here, as long as I don't get sick later, haha. My friend got the spinach salad with chicken, it was a good size, and everything seemed fresh. So far so good.

Its main pro is that it offers some cajun/creole food that is hard to find elsewhere around Wilmington.

I didn't hate myself for eating there, but I'll never return. To each his own.
