Friday night 9 p.m., service was really, really (almost uncomfortably) Â quick. Our waiter was in such a hurry to mop the floor that he didn't ask if we wanted another round of drinks or anything else. Way too rushed/impersonal service for us to ever return. The food was good, but the service really put us off.
Review Source:I'm really glad we have a place like this in Franklin. Â There aren't too many true bars in this area, so when I start to reminisce of Beyond the Edge, Three Crow - basically the bars of East Nashville - I come to Brewhouse South. Â We've always sat at the bar and gotten great service. Â They have a pretty extensive happy hour (I think my house wine was $3 last time? Crazy cheap, and it was pretty good too!), and sometimes they have beers on special that aren't even on the HH menu. Â Last Tuesday they had New Castle for 1/2 off drafts I believe. Â Also - they have a ridiculous number of beers on tap....a la Flying Saucer.
As far as the food - the wings are awesome. Â They are slow roasted and are to the falling-off-the-bone stage. Â Just the way I like wings! Â Don't expect a crispy skin (they don't fry them), but honestly I'm ok with that. Â The sauce we got was pretty good - Mojo (pronounced MO-JOE, not MO-HO as we learned) - perfect amount of spice and a deep flavor. Â We tried the hottest stuff they had, and it was pretty dang hot. Â Glad we had it on the side!
The only other food I've had here are the nachos. Â They come with their beef chili, and since I don't eat red meat I requested the queso instead. Â They happily obliged. Â They were pretty good although I could have taken more queso, but really, they were good.
They have a pretty big selection of sandwiches, platters, and burritos, and also quesadillas, soups, salads, and apps. Â They are pretty meat-centric so vegetarians and/or vegans won't have a wide selection. Â
I know we'll be back when we get the bar hankering, and I'm sure we'll try some more food! Â I'm looking forward to warmer weather so we can sit out on the patio.
