The pizza here is very good; thin, with flavorful sauce. The place itself is small, so you might want to do takeout. Be advised that the Yelp listings at the top tell you this place delivers; however, that is untrue; it does not. On June 25, 2012, Â I called Bruno's to place a dellvery order, because Yelp says that they do deliver. I was told "we do not deliver." So there you have it, folks, right from the horse's mouth. But, as I say, the pizza is quite good.
Review Source:Good little sub shop.
We got lunch here a few days in a row. Â The subs are pretty good. Â I've had a turkey sub, an Italian, and a meatball all from here. Â The cold subs could use a little more meat in them if you ask me, but they are tasty and certainly big enough for me. Â The meatball sub is pretty good - I found the sauce to be lacking, but the meatballs are huge and the cheese is all nice and melty on it.
It's a cute little shop with only a few tables to sit at. Â The guys that work there are really nice but very hard to understand on the phone (they don't speak English here when talking to each other as they work). Â Prices are all right, for Groton. Â I'll try the pizza next and re-review this place again! For now, it'll do.
If there was a "Mia Farrow Twee, Quaint and Cute" award going around for pizza places then Bruno's would win, so long as the judges had the eye for its screen door and humble signage.
Fresh ingredients abound. Hamburger and BLT subs are excellent, subtle twists on continental favorites. They also do wraps and cold subs which offer healthy alternatives as well. Bruno's doesn't sell cookie-cutter pizza, its unique and tasty and comes with excellent topping combos such as the Tour of Italy, San Remo (pine nuts?!), Steak and Cheese and Fort. Moreover, you can easily get to know the guys running it, which gives it all the more charm. Good Bruschetta, abundant dinner menu mostly under $15.
Pizza is pricey, but worth every penny.
The Bruno pizza (special) is unreal...sauteed onions, ricotta cheese, italian sausage, pine nuts...it's sweet, and just outright my favorite.
They have a buffalo sauce I think they use on pizza's but you can get it with chicken fingers, holy cow is that good (orange color, not franks red hot).
This pizza is always a hit, yah it's pricey but you will not be dissapointed
Now called Bruno's, this pizza and sub shop has high quality ingredients that justify the little bit more money you're spending. Â The chicken caesar wrap is excellent, as are the chicken parm, and bbq chicken pizza. The stand-out for Bruno's, their steak & cheese sub. Wow, not since Peter's Pizza closed down has Groton had such a bomb steak & cheese sub. Â While Gro-Ho's sub suffers from chewier steak, Bruno's is fine cut of the highest caliber.
Review Source:Their cheese pizza, while expensive, is the best pizza in the area. It's paper thin with just the right amount of sauce. I can't speak for their pizzas with toppings, because we never tire of their cheese pizza. Recommended for takeout. There are only a couple of uncomfortable tables inside, and 2 shaky tables out front.
NOTE: They have overcooked the pizza once or twice. Make sure you check the bottom of the pizza prior to leaving. Also, apparently unaware that it's 2008, they do not take credit/debit card.
