Do you like wings? They've got salt! Do you like a large variety of sauces and flavors? They've got salt! Do you like wraps, burgers and more? They've got salt! Do you like salt? SWEET SODIUM CHLORIDE, have YOU come to the right place!
I really can not tell you how the food tastes because all I could taste was salt. Seriously. Salt. On. Everything. Yes, people like salt, and it's proven to be a great addition to foods that, in moderation, can help make the flavor stand out. If your food is mediocre no amount of salt in the world that can fix a bad product, but Buffalo Wild Wings seems to think otherwise. Oddly, their boneless wings remind me a lot of Pizza Hut's "Wing Street" wings... except Wing Street are better.
The food is mediocre, but what really kills this place is the absolutely horrible service. Â I had to order my beer 5 times and it took 25 minutes to finally get the beer. Â It took quite a while before anyone even took a drink order and then we had to wait another 15 minutes to put in our food order. Â It took quite a while to receive my salad with grilled chicken and it was just ok. Â The grilled chicken was cold.
I won't be coming back here.
It was nice because I could get Lost Rhino on draft here. I enjoyed their brew and they are located down the street if you want to taste more of beer.
My husband got the sampler and I got the new pretzel burger with brats on it. The food was just okay. I would also recommend if ordering the fries to get the salt and vinegar seasoning.
The burger was super dry and not really favorable and it was kind of small in size for what I paid.
The service here is not great and the booths were super dirty
I've been to four different BWW locations in Leesburg, Manassas, Dulles, Gainesville and each time I'm hoping that perhaps one would be better than the other. But somehow I walk out every time feeling like my experience was unsatisfactory. I'm not sure if I have bad luck with this place or it is just the restaurants.
During my most recent visit on Wings Tuesday (wings are discounted), we waited over 45 minutes for our first order of wings. Since we came a little late, it meant that we were only able to put one order before the deal ended for the day. That was quite disappointing since we came hungry. We noticed the table next to us was getting anxious, there were a few guys who looked like they were there for lunch during work. The group were there before us but their food were not served until we were almost done with ours. One of the guys threw a fit and went off on the waitress for the slow food service. So I knew then it wasn't just us who were experiencing the really slow service from the restaurant. I think the most frustrating part was that we never even had another refill of drinks because our waiter barely even checked up on us after taking his first order.
As though the service wasn't bad enough, the wings weren't at all impressive. I mean the place is call Buffalo Wild Wings, wings were suppose to be their "specialty". So I thought. But we ordered the Carribean Jerk and we both thought it was a bad choice on our part. It just didn't taste right on the wings. The only two edible ones were the Parmesan Garlic and Asian Zing. We didn't even touch the Jammin' Jalapeno that the waiter recommended because it didn't taste right.
Before we could even finish our meal halfway, our waiter had already place the bill in front of us which had made us felt rushed to finish. When we left, I tried to keep a smile and say bye to the hostess, but she plainly ignored me and my friend as we walked out.
Overall, I won't be dining in BWW at any of their locations again. I think I've given enough benefit of the doubt and my money is better off spent elsewhere.
This copy of BWW may not be their best example but it's the only one I've been to, so that is all I have to base my opinion of the franchise on. Â We won't return at least to this copy. Â
Wings are a relatively unfamiliar treat to us, so we've tried several places trying to get an idea of what's good and what isn't. Â This establishment has friendly staff, plenty of parking, and seating. Â We sampled 4 different types of wings and found them to be very good. Â The standard medium was the right blend for us. Â Some of the more exotic flavors were less appealing - the Teriyaki was no teriyaki to me. Â The presentation minimalist, probably standard for wings.
The part that was frustrating to us was the service and the atmosphere. Â We showed up (2 adults2 kids) at around 1pm on a Saturday - a definite lull. Â However the wait service was slow getting to us and slow each time for drinks, ordering, food, etc. Â We had to get up and start walking towards the exit looking for someone to take our money. Â That's a deal-breaker!
The other part was the noise volume. Â I understand the core concept is a sports bar, however at 1pm with only 6-7 tables occupied, it was difficult to even carry on a conversation with each other due to the volume. Â We even moved tables early on before food arrived to find a less blasting area to no avail. Â It'd make much more sense later at night with the crowds and all.
Again - the wings were fine, but not worth the atmosphere or service.
I'm a bit suprised by the harsh responses from others. Â My husband and I frequently comes here when we're in the mood for wings. Â Sure it's noisy but it's a sports restaurant, what do you expect?
The food: Â sure it's fried but it's a sports restaurant... are you expecting a freakin steak and potato? Â
Generally when we go we always get the garlic mushrooms and usually traditional boned chicken wings. Â Yes, they have sauce, yes our fingers get messy but again... part of a sports bar environment. Â
That being said we always get the medium, caribbean jerk.  My husband then gets 6 wings of just hot for himself  The wings taste the same every time, the sauce tastes the same every time and the enviornment is the same every time.. come to think of it.... traditional of a sports restaurant.
We were in the area so we decided to try BWW. Â The service from our waiter was great but the food really was not good. Â As I'm not one to waste food, I literally was trying to finish my portion. Â When you walk in, the wait area was ok..but walking into the main dining area, it seemed like a pit with numerous TVs on the wall. Â I know this place is supposed to be a sports bar also, but this seemed more like a barbaric sports bar. Â Â When the hostess sat us down, I'm sure she could clearly see that the table was still overly damp from just being wiped down..yet she still laid our menus and napkin-wrapped silverware on the wet table..nice! (not!). Â
Now the food (wings). Â They brought the food out in paper trays and brought other smaller trays for the bones...this reminded me of a cafeteria rather than a restaurant. Â I think at least small plates would have been appropriate. Â The wings were cold, hard and over seasoned...the sauce was thick and salty. Â Now, in a place where you know this type of "messy" food will be served, you'd think they'd have a dispenser of napkins or a roll of paper towels (as at Hooters) placed right at your table...nope, you have to wait til your waiter comes around to give you some more.
I wanted to like this place but just couldn't. Â I don't think we'll be eating here again.
Know how to get people to buy more beer? Over-salt everything. EVERYTHING. ::shudder::
This might be a great place to head if you don't have cable or your team's game is only available through Sunday Ticket or something. For lunch on a Monday, take a pass. The place was filthy, dark and disorganized. Service took ages. Food is delivered in paper containers. Everything except glasses are disposable. Our food was cold and disgustingly over salted.
Maybe I'm an idiot to go to BWW and review the food, but it IS a restaurant... and I really wanted chicken fingers. I guess I'll have to find another chicken fingers outlet.
Also? Their cherry limeade has NOTHING on Sonic's. Lame imposter.
SPORTS BAR FAIL.
This place doesn't just serve chicken wings folks. Nope. This place is operated by chickens too! Seriously, the staff running around this place look like a flock of chickens running around with their heads chopped off. AVOID coming here for lunch, ESPECIALLY in groups.
Strike #1 : Half-full patio + only 1 server = DISASTER. I'm sure the server was busting her ass trying to drop by every table within a small time frame, but it doesn't change the fact that I had to wait 20-25 minutes for my turn every time. Managers, there's a reason why there are multiple trains traveling in each direction at the metro as opposed to one. Maybe you can implement that concept and have 2-3 servers working the patio to minimize our wait time.
Strike #2 : Why only bring half of the orders out and the other half 20 minutes later? Are we supposed to take turns watching each other eat??
Strike #3 : The last time I was here, the hostesses were dicking around chit-chatting with other workers. Yes, PLEASE take your time prancing around while more and more customers are piling up at the door, sweetheart. Some of us only have 30 minutes for lunch.
Food: nothing special.
My wife wanted to keep it low key for her birthday this year and a couple of weeks ago we were here and had the Asian Zing wings at the bar so we figured we'd come back.
It was like a black hole of awful.
We tried to call ahead since we had 6 people coming and wanted to watch the Caps game. Â They said they don't do call ahead or reservations and were kind of mean about it. Â Okay fine, no problem we'll get there early....
We arrive and they try and sit us at a 4 top. Â I told the girl we have 6 and she says, "I know I'm going to bring 2 more chairs." Â I told her that's not going to be enough room, we're going to order a few apps to share and a 4 top isn't going to cut it. Â So she said fine I can sit you at a booth. Â A quick glance at the booth told me that even if we sat a chair at the end 3 people are going to be jammed into one side. Â So I decided to offer up that she put 2 table together. Â I almost felt bad after seeing the look on her face. Â It was like no one had ever suggested that and I was bring her whole concept of the world down. Â She just froze.
Another server came over and said they could do that but we had to wait. Â No problem. Â After a short wait we sat down and endured some of the worst service I've had in recent memory. Â
I started off asking if they do pitchers sine we were all thinking of ordering the same beer, and would that be a better option price wise. Â The server said they don't do pitchers but even if they did it wouldn't be cheaper....What?
Beers regularly took over 10 minutes to arrive. Â One of our party got his wings 12 minutes before everyone else at the table was served. Â After saying he wants new wings, cause he felt bad eating in front of everyone else, it was very obvious they microwaved everything (fries were spongy and also looked the exact same) Â Onion rings came out cold to the touch (also microwaved) Â We also ordered a side of cole slaw and never got it, the manager came by and we told him it was overlooked, no biggie, but could he grab us one. Â He came back about 10 minutes later and told us they were out, he was sorry but would make sure we weren't charged. Â Then it showed up 5 minutes after that..... Â Was he just lazy? Â I got a Jerk Chicken sandwich and it was actually excellent.
After we asked for our check it took over 20 minutes for us to pay and go. Â When we got outside we just started laughing, everything was so horrible.
Typical big box sports bar atmosphere....there were T.V.s in every direction that I looked. On a recent visit (November 2011) they had the AC blasting which made for a nippy experience. Moreover, the food was mediocre at best. I do not drink alcohol and drive (esp. when my family is in tow) so I can only imagine that the beer tastes the same as it does when I taste it at home. Â Now lets talk about the food....I order some kind of Jerk Chicken sandwich which I guess either they forgot to jerk, or my taste buds just failed on me. It was bland. The Mrs. ordered some fish tacos....these were nasty. Â The crowd was loud and obnoxious as the Redskins were actually winning for once. So you can just imagine the mania that was prevalent to this experience.
Like most places of this nature, I probably wont visit here again. I believe that there are no more good wing places, and that they all suck.
I'm not so sure why some reviews of this place are so awful. Â I give it 3.5 stars. Â I mean, it's a typical sports bar with decent food. Â The service is sometimes a bit slow, but that's by design: Â they want you to sit around and order more beer and wings. Â I was there tonight (Sunday game night) Â and they were actually quite prompt, our appetizers arrived within minutes of ordering. Â
I'm not a fan of their wings, so I simply don't order them here, I usually get a wrap or a salad. Â We go to Buffalo Wing Factory across the street if we want wings. Â Actually the only reason I really come here is for the fried pickles. Â If the craving hits I won't stop thinking about them for days, and I haven't found another place around here that serves them.
It can get very loud and rowdy, but again, it's a sports bar, so what do you expect? Â The Buzztime trivia is really fun to play on non-game days, so at least you have something to do if the service is slow.
we ordered wings from here to CARRY OUT. Bad idea- chicken wings were cold and chicken strips were over fried and clammy. The only good thing was the celery and the MANGO hot sauce. The waiter even gave us bleu cheese instead of RANCH as we had requested. BLAHHH
would NOT revisit EVER.
Went here twice just to make sure the first time wasn't just a fluke. I was initially excited to try this place out when it opened and was disappointed both times with dry wings with over abundance of sauce. I didn't enjoy the buffalo hot sauce as I do at Buffalo Wing Factory. I also didn't like how they served the wings in paper containers for us to share but no plates. Did they expect us to pass around the paper containers, eat over them and then pass to the next person?
The service was good... but the food was subpar. I've definitely had better wings elsewhere.
Think "chain sports bar." A baby step up from most of the other sports bars out there, Buffalo Wild Wings was spacious, clean, and served up some killer wings.
Definitely seemed like "the" place locals went to get some grub and watch Sunday night football. Why not? Their dining area was surrounded with multiple television sets on every wall playing the different games.
Service was okay, it's a sports bar so don't come in with high expectations, but do know I have heard stories of how these people are known to screw up an order...multiple times...in one visit. Good thing I didn't experience that the night I went or else I would've had to slap someone with one of my wings dipped in "blazin' sauce." Â
Speaking of which, get their blazin' sauce on the side. It's so hot they put a "warning" sticker on it! I like to think that I have a relatively high threshold when it comes to spice, but there is no way I would have my wings covered in that sauce - my stomach would be in much remorse that night otherwise. As it was, my mouth was already on fire (delightfully so, I might add) from my wings covered in their "wild sauce" (a step down from the "blazin'.") Just make sure that with along with your wings you have plenty of ranch and ice cold water (or beer!)
Let me start off by saying I love bdubs but this location is horrible based on about 12-15 visits.
I go to this place a lot and it is not up to par with other bdubs. I say 2 out of 5 times the food is actually good, but I had  string about 4 times now where it just was horrible. The wings come out undersauced and sometimes room temperature. The buffalo chips with cheese are only half covered in cheese. The waiter takes forever between drink orders and typically they forget to refill sodas unless you are sitting right at the bar.
Tonight they hit the trifecta which warrants this review, we had to have two waiters cause our one was MIA half the time. Wings come out with no sauce on them cause they had dried up and were room temperature. Buffalo chips had so little cheese on it it was laughable.
Bad service and poorly prepared food.
I'm not surprised that this B Dubs location has such crappy ratings. When it first opened up earlier this year, I thought they were on the ball with everything. It was lively, the food was great, and the atmosphere was great.
I went last night with my sister craving the buffalo ranch chicken wrap like I always get which is pretty much a lot of lettuce, some chicken, cheese, ranch, and a little bit of buffalo sauce (the operative word being a little bit). Each time I'd gone in the past, I had always loved the wrap.
Last night, I received the wrap and it was basically cheese and buffalo sauce wrapped up in a tortilla. Hardly any chicken or lettuce. Are their chefs drunk or something? Did they think that would be appetizing to douse a CHICKEN wrap in sauce, but practically  forget to put the main component in? I was so disappointed.
I should also mention that the hostess who greeted us ended up being our server. When we walked in, the immediate table we saw had 3 or 4 servers just sitting there, apparently "not taking any tables", which she had no problem asking them if they were right in front of us. Awkward? Yes. Why would they not be taking any more tables? It was practically empty in there and it was around 6:30 PM. When they weren't sitting at the table, they looked like total zombies.
If the owner is reading this: this branch needs some serious help. You need new staff. Perhaps some that actually have a personality, and who can take the "lazy" level down a notch. And most importantly, you should probably be watching how the food is prepared...not cool, B Dubs, not cool. I think next time I'll head to the Buffalo Wing Factory instead.
Wanting to try some place new, I head over to this dump. When I first walked in, I thought it was a very strange set up. The bar was way over in one corner and the dining area was over on the other side. Usually at a sports grill and "BAR", the bar is the center of attention or a focal point. Not here.
So, I order my beer (my 3rd choice), order my food (wings and fries). While I'm waiting for my food, I noticed it wasn't all that busy, but all the guest were clustered together in one corner. All of us were also seated right next to the employee table. It's one thing when you're waiting for a refill or want to ask a question and can't find the waiter, but this was just really awkward. Your server is sitting right "taking a break", lets just say it wasn't a relaxed dining experience. And the rest of the dining area was wide open!! I don't get it.
So, now my food arrives...... Wheres the rest of it? I felt like I was back in high school. You know those little cardboard baskets the fries and french toast sticks came it? Yeah, that's what this food comes in, and they're even smaller!! One little tiny thing of wings and another of fries just put in front of me without a tray or anything. I had to unfold my napkin and put it on the table for a makeshift plate. The wings were small and more bone that meat, and the fries were a little undercooked.
When the server came to ask how everything was ( 10 minutes later), I told him that I've had way better wings in my life and that the presentation was horrible. He agreed!!!! And then walked away. Nice!
Another observation I made was that it was all dudes working there and maybe one girl. Usually at a sports bar you find more girls working there. No big deal, but just thought I'd mention it.
Anyways, over all, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I will never, ever go back there! If you (you reading this), still decide to go and check it out, proceed with caution and don't say I didn't tell you so. Just remember, if you're still hungry when you leave, the Burger King is just steps away. You won't even have to get in your car to drive there.
I took my family here for lunch for the first time today. Â My family really liked it and my kids want to go back tomorrow. Â For me, it was okay, and won't mind going back, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get there.
Outside the restaurant there was trash in the landscaping and on the steps. Â It looked like someone had been taking out the trash and a bag ripped open and nobody cleaned it up. Â Inside, the restaurant looks new and clean.
The staff was friendly and eager to please, although... missed little things here and there. Â None of them were really heinous crimes worthy of not leaving a tip. Â It was just little details like forgetting to give us straws for our drinks. Â
They provide a nice kids' menu with coloring and crayons to keep them occupied.
I asked about what types of seasoning they use because I get severe headaches from MSG. Â Two thumbs up that the manager immediately brought out an allergen information sheet, listing each item on the menu down the left side and allergens across the top, with X's in the columns to show what was in each menu item. Â That was a big plus in my book. Â Unfortunately, they aren't so familiar with the pseudonyms for MSG like "natural smoke flavor" which was an ingredient in just about every flavor of barbecue sauce they have.
So I can't eat wings at this wings restaurant. Â
I went for a burger. Â The waiter didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, but it came extremely well-done. Â Even so, it was okay. Â It wasn't the best burger I've had, but it satisfied my appetite for lunch. Â
The food was a little on the slow side. Â We placed our orders at 12:59 p.m. and the food was delivered to our table at 1:16. Â That's not terribly bad, but we were all done with our first round of drinks by the time our food came. Â
So, all-in-all, it was OK. Â I would eat here again next time my kids ask to go there. Â It just wouldn't be a place that I would suggest if someone asked me where I wanted to go to eat.
Throughout my time as an undergrad at Virginia Tech, there was one thing that my roommates and I maintained. Â Tuesdays were BW3's night. Â We'd head out to Buffalo Wild Wings aka B-Dubs, and purchase 50 or so wings on "wing night" and wash it all down with a nice cold beer.
So when this wonderful chain decided to expand to a location in Northern Virginia, I could hardly wait. Â Every flavor on the menu is phenomenal, although I must recommend the Asian Zing, Mango Habanero, Sweet Garlic, Teriyaki, and Honey BBQ.
This restaurant is the perfect place for all patrons. Â Wall to wall tvs for the sports fan. Â Delicious staples of american bar cuisine for both young and old alike. Â TV interactive trivia and poker video games to be played against other customers. Â This place has it all.
And did I mention the buffalo wings? Â Fantastic. Â I like B-Dubs more than both Buffalo Wing Factory and Buffalo Wing University. Â You will too.
This place can be loud, crowded, and the service can be slow, but  you know, the wings are decent.  Sure they're just tossed in the sauce before going to the table, but they're ok.  I usually will go in for 45 cent Bone-In Tuesdays and 65 cent Boneless Thursdays.
Parmesan Garlic and Asian Zing wings are pretty good. Â Just enough heat in the asian wings, and nice and smooth for the Parmesan ones. Â Blue Moon goes awesome with them.
I've had a pretty good experience yesterday in there, the server took our order for 12 Honey BBQ, 12 Asian Zing, and 12 Parmesan Garlic wings. Â The server brought out 10 Medium wings instead of the Honey BBQ ones. Â Once the server realized he picked up the wrong ones, he brought the 12 wings, and didn't charge us for the Medium or Honey BBQ ones. Â That's the sign of wanting to please a customer.
This is probably the place I'll go to watch the Nationals, the Cardinals, or the Capitals game if I want to go out. Â Plenty of TVs and overall a decent place.
Mistake #1: Server brings Coke instead of Diet Coke. Easy mistake, happens to everyone, so whatever.
Mistake #2: About 20 minutes later, I say to my gf, "This is taking forever, how hard is it to put some mini corn dogs in the fryer?" Server comes out a few mins later and tells us that the mini corn dogs were sent to the wrong table so she had to put another order in. Wait, what?
Mistake #3: Server brings out food, then realizes that she put my wing order in as mild instead of wild. (This was after my conversation with the server when she asked if we had any questions about the menu: Me: How spicy is the wild? Her: Not at all! Me: Really? OK, I'll try those.) When I finally got my "corrected" order, the wings looked, tasted, and felt (they were cold) like the kitchen had dumped the mild wings into a bucket of wild sauce and sent it back out. The basket my wings came in even had a "Wild" sticker on top of a "Mild" sticker, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened.
The mini corn dogs were pretty good, but certainly not worth that experience. The only charitable thing I can say about their wings is that they were cold and probably the worst wings I've ever had, even in comparison to TGIF microwaveable ones.
Next time I see one of their stupid commercials, I'll be sure to tell everyone within earshot that anyone who wants an extra inning/period/OT just b/c they don't want to leave is nuts.
I've been a few times now and really love it. Â I don't normally like big chains but it's a great place to watch a game. Â There are lots of huge TVs all around so no matter where you're sitting you've got a good view.
I also love the games you can play from your table. Â Blackjack, Poker, and Trivia are my favorite. Â And the best part about that is it's free to play!
I give the food 4 stars. Â This is bar food we're talking about so relatively speaking everything I've had there has been good. Â It's all about your expectations. Â If you go in to a sports bar like this expecting gourmet food, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Â
The mini corn dogs are great. Â I don't eat meat on a bone (weird, I know) so the fact that they have boneless wings with all the same options of sauces is a huge plus for me. Â I've heard the fried mushrooms are good too.
I also really like the large selection of beer on tap. Â It changes regularly but there are always lots to chose from.
I've never had a problem with the service. Â Even when they're busy the bar staff is pretty responsive and polite.
The prices are decent too. Â With an appetizer and two meals you will probably spend $25 - $30. Â Beer prices aren't bad either. Â
Bottom line, it's my new go-to spot for watching games and I will definitely go back again and again. Â Would recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of spot.
Stopped by for Tuesday special on buffalo wings.
Got my usual mild and parmesan garlic, this reminds me of the good times in San Antonio. Â Anyway, wings were good. Â Beer was good. Â The food came out within 5 minutes.
I was a happy man. Â I would give this place a higher rating, but they still need to shape up a bit more. Â I am sure that it will get there.
See me at Buffalo Wild Wings next Tuesday!
People are being too harsh on this place. This Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty similar to every other one I've been to. Lots of Tvs, loud, not the best service and some of the best wing sauces. Most of the time BWW's are located in college towns so this is pretty acceptable. Needless to say, I was excited that they finally opened one up around here because a) the Spicy Garlic sauce is amazing and b) I almost always get take-out and don't dine in.
Understandably, this place has just opened so there were some obvious kinks that need to be worked out when I dined in. I had to wait a long time for extra wing sauce, some of the servers didn't know the menu completely, etc. The place is clean and I never had an issue with the food itself, really the service is the only bad thing. Nobody is rude, they're just extremely slow. Their lunch wraps, naked tenders and buffalo chips are tasty so venture away from the wings if you want!
Come here for your favorite wing sauce, beer and to catch a game if you're dining in. However, try to catch their wing specials for take-out so you don't have to deal with the bad service!
Wow, folks. It wasn't the greatest dining experience of my life -- but ONE star? Talk of negative stars? You make it sound like there were rats running around, servers picking their noses, and hairs in your food.
Look, it's new. And in their rush to get this location open, they definitely took training shortcuts that are GLARING. But it wasn't horrible, and I've been to FAR worse in the area -- hell, in that SHOPPING CENTER.
First, any restaurant that has 20+ TV's in the dining area -- oh, and a bar -- will NOT BE QUIET. It's a wing joint for watching games and being loud. You want to have a quiet convo with the wife? You picked the wrong place. I can't think of any wing joint that's not loud and packed with as many tables as they can get away with. Can you see the TV? Can you play your bar trivia? Then shut the pie hole.
Now, our experience there. I went with the wife and my 6- and 2-year old on a busy Sunday during football playoffs. And it was adequate. But we were willing to be a little more understanding since it hasn't been open long.
They got my wife's side wrong (brought fries instead of chips/salsa) but fixed it quickly. They brought out regular wings instead of my boneless wings... and also fixed it quickly. Refills were automatic, though. We got our order quickly, and it was hot and tasty.
The prices? A little on the high side, but for people paying as much as they are to shop at Wegman's across the lot, or shop at the nearby Lamborghini Dealership or play the Arnold Palmer golf course across the street, not outrageous.
The menu clearly states your choices and portion sizes, and the celery/blue cheese/ranch dressing Sophie's Choice should be no surprise to anyone who has tried the chain. So, that's not this restaurant's fault. Odd to make you choose one, but again, not worthy of ONE star.
Yep, the food came in cardboard baskets. No, I wasn't expecting Grandma's china, so this wasn't a big deal to us.
I tried the "Wild" sauce while my wife sampled the "Caribbean Jerk." I was surprised at the lack of fire, and I'm totally gonna hammer the 12 blazin' wings in 6 minutes challenge next time. Should be a piece of cake.
I'm willing to try again in another month or so to see if they've gotten up to speed and worked out the (in my opinion, minor) kinks.
I usually write glowing reviews but I had to rate the terrible service and food we had at this place. Â Too bad. Â I was excited to try it out...
The place is nice, and that's about it...
The other posters are spot on; cold food, long food/drink wait times, high prices, etc....and so I am not going to waste my time typing the same stuff...it was just awful.
I have been a big fan of Buffalo Wild Wings. Â I have been at their Richmond, VA Â and Lexington, KY restaurants....top notch....BUT, I am not rating those restaurants...I am rating this facade claiming to be Buffalo Wild Wings.
1. Restaurant design...There are 2 video games tucked in the corner of the dinning portion of the restaurant in a very unusual place (if you are looking from the front door-back corner to the right) Guys, you can take those out-there not going to make you money and put another table there. Â On the opposite wall, there is a wait station. Â Try sitting in that table or booth and enjoy your dinner....if you don't know what I am talking about...sit there and find out.. Â Where is the bar?...oh yeah and the opposite end of the building....what's going on at the bar? Â Who hell knows? Â The other restaurants I have been too, it has an open design. Â Not here.
2. Food...cold wings. Â Burger and Chicken cold. Â Come on guys. I know you are "new to the area" but, you need to come out with your A game. Â From now on, I will just go in to buy their sauce and make my wings at home.
3. Noise level was tremendous. Â I had a hard time carrying a conversation with my wife. Â The place wasn't that busy!
4. Service....probably the only thing I could give a higher star rating. Â The waiter had his A game on. Â Everything came out and was staged well. Â Refills came automatically. Â
I told my wife this place was good. I guess you proved me wrong. Â I am very disappointed. Â I hate to say this...but take your money else where.
If Buffalo Wild Wings was a person, I'd punch him or her in the face. Â Seriously!? We spent like 30 bucks here and got almost no food.
I got the boneless wings, they were 9 bucks for 8 tiny stupid little breaded monstrosities. Â My boyfriend got the traditional wings which were also somewhere in the upper 8-dollar range, and were also tiny. Â Here's the kicker- you don't get any sides!! Â AND, you have to CHOOSE between bleu cheese OR celery --- NOT BOTH!! Wow. Â Didn't realize celery was such a luxury item, thanks guys. Â Oh, and I forgot the best part- you don't even get a PLATE! Your wingdings come out on tiny cardboard trays, a la Wendy's. Â In fact, at least when I got boneless wings at Wendy's I only paid three bucks and they came in a heftier plastic tray WITH A LID. Â
We also got a side of "sour cream and chive potato wedges", which were just burnt french fries with zero hint of sour cream or chive. Â These set us back about 4 bucks and also came out in a tiny cardboard tray. Â Check out the pics I posted- apparently, at Buffalo Wild Wings, that is what 26 bucks-worth of food looks like. Â I was surprised they splurged on silverware and didn't bring out plastic sporks with our pathetic excuses for entrees. Â Never, ever again will I come to this place. Â They also thought it might be funny to charge nearly 3 dollars for a club soda. Â I wanted to tip my table over and go on a rampage when our food came out. Â The cherry on all this, the place was loud, smelly and obnoxious like the locker room of some WWE arena. Â I had to shout to make conversation and we weren't even near the bar. Â Our server was clueless and couldn't recommend any of the sauces to us. Â
I don't know why it's so difficult to find decent food around here!!! Â Do yourself a favor and go to Clyde's Willow Creek Farm and get the wings there- you won't be sorry. Â We left hungry and went to BK right next store, dropped a whole 4 dollars and got two Whopper Juniors, some fries and some cheesy tots. Â Yum. Â Buffalo Wild Wings can suck it.
I went looking for an Alfred E. Newman quote to use in this review, and I couldn't find one that would do this place justice. Â Even the "What, me worry?" guy is too good.
Yelp doesn't allow 0 stars (WHY THE FUCK NOT?!), so the 1 star I'm required to give is for Damon, who did his best (and was tipped appropriately so he would know) to make our dining experience enjoyable. Too bad the food and the environment didn't follow suit.
1) Sports bar + big TVs + lots of noise == NOT a FAMILY place. Â Come on, leave the screaming toddlers at home. Everytime a team scored and patrons cheered, the screaming resumed. Argh. Â I had a hard time just having a conversation with the person across the table from me.
2) They would have had a difficult time packing more tables in the available space if they tried. Â Sure didn't look like the someone in a wheelchair could get from one end of the dining room to the other.
3) Grilled chicken fingers. Â Really how can you fuck that up. Â WATCH ME! Â The grate was hot (grill marks as a testament) but they didn't leave it on long enough -- chicken felt undercooked, but was white throughout. Â Absolutely flavorless. Even with BBQ Hot sauce, it was only slightly less flavorless.
4) Breading on the tenders/wings was horrible. Â I tried some of my wife's order and didn't even finish it. Â Fries came out soggy.
We didn't even try desert, just wanted to get out of there. Â
Some places get better with time, and this place had only been open 20 days when we went (yeah NYE), but unless the management and the kitchen get in gear, another bad chain place has staked its claim.
I've been to Buffalo Wild Wings in many other cities and this has by far been the worst of them. Â Don't get me wrong, I like Buffalo Wild Wings. Â This place just doesn't have most of what I'm looking for.
I ordered 12 mango habanero wings and the queso chili fries. Â I like the mango habanero wings but the wings are on the small side, way smaller than most of the sports bars in this area. Â the chili queso fries weren't all that good and I don't recommend them. Â The chili tastes like canned and the queso is funky tasting. Â I would stick to the plain fries or order the wedges or buffalo chips. Â There's a decent beer tap selection but this is the only Buffalo Wild Wings that I've been to that didn't have Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Â Essentially, that's the whole reason I go to Buffalo Wild Wings.
The location has an adequate amount of tv's but sitting at the bar is a little awkward as the main screen is to the left. Â When I was there only tv's with NFL Network were on the left. Â A little cumbersome. Â The staff, at least the people I saw, are more than capable of carrying on a sports discussion. Â The clientele on the other hand...not so sure. Â The other customer at the bar was drinking wine. Â Also, the restaurant was going through a lot of bottles of white wine. Â What is wrong with the people of Sterling/Ashburn? Â Who goes to a sports bar and drinks wine? Â This is probably the wrong location for a sports bar. Â The drink specials weren't all that great. Â The service was alright, although I could probably see them getting overrun during a game.
Unless you live in the area, I don't think this is worth driving too. Â Get some wings and beer at Wegman's and enjoy the NFL Playoffs and BCS bowl games at home. Â If you don't have a tv...ok, then maybe come here.
My coworkers and i were actually excited to go this place but...
It's just Awful. I wish there was a quarter of a star rating.
Took 1 hr to get wings and side salad.
30 mins for check. It's not evdn worth $10.38 which was my portion of the check.
Service = awful.
Food = below average
Ambiance = ok
Cleanliness = ok
Wings are not great. Slathered in sauce see my photo. Waste of calories, go eat at buffalo wing factory, so much better!
Manager came to apologize and gave coupon for 6 free wings. We left it there because we will not be returning.
Feel free to visit for yourself of course.
Two days ago when this place opened, they offered free wings for a year to the first 100 customers. I turned up around 1pm, long after the first hundred showed up and quite possibly after the first 250 turned out.
The place is crowded and loud, with televisions everywhere, great for gamedays. I ordered 12 in the "Hot" flavour and my brother ordered 6 "Jerk" and 6 "Hot BBQ". The wings were fried correctly with thin crispy skin and tender flesh, the sauces were spicy and flavourful. All in all, a great place to stop for wings.
The server was friendly and attentive despite the place being packed, he kept our table clean and our drinks full. There is a large selection of imported and microbrew beers on tap, and a full menu of non wing-related items.
The place is small, not profoundly small, but the annoying kind of small that makes you wish it was 10-15% larger. One star off for the size and another star off for being located in a shopping centre with one of the worst parking lot and traffic patterns in Virginia.
~This review was written opening night, so take it with a grain of salt.~
It was probably a mistake going opening night, but we were shopping in the area and thought as good a place as any. Unfortunately, opening night meant the place was packed and subsequently, the service was less than stellar. Our waiter was attentive, when he could be found, but there was little effort made to take orders, clear plates or refill waters in a timely fashion. We were seated right next to the server terminal and there were always six or more standing around the machine, so I'm guessing they didn't have people assigned effectively. One girl never left the station the entire time we were there, and even looked at our table multiple times without ever recognizing our empty glasses as something she should/could do.
The food itself was decent, what you might expect from a wing joint. Everything was freshly cooked and hot, even if our appetizer did come out with our mains. The beer list was pretty long, with a good selection of many types. All in all, the actual meal was about what I expected.
I'll chalk the experience up to opening night jitters and will give them another shot. Hopefully after they shake the bugs out, the service will come up to par.
