For being in an airport cafeteria, this place definitely surprised me with a) the portion size and b) the quality of the food.  Compared to all the other fast food joints in the same little section of the airport, Burrito Beach certainly comes off as being more health-centric than the competition.

Service was fine, they customized up my burrito for me.  It was damn tasty, I got on my flight happy and full of burrito.  Definitely recommend if you're in the terminal and looking for reasonable food choices.

Passing through Chicago and decided to grab some breakfast here. The line at McDonalds was so long..I went to see what Burrito Beach had to offer. I will say that was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a long while! It was so filling! Delicious!

Okay, but why eat here when you could go to Torta Frontera? They charge for salsa in the burrito, which I think is weird. This place is sort of like a chipolte, but not as good.

Burrito (steak) fresh, plentiful and no skimping- quality ingredients.  Smoothie- you can tell it is made with REAL FRUIT- imperative for my smoothies.  This is my 4th or 5th visit to this location and the best service I have had amongst the myriad of O'Hare offerings.  This is (amazingly) one of the best service, "fast food"  locales I have visited- in an airport noless!

Service fast and pleasant though "Karen" is the stands out as friendly and courteous with every customer.

As long as service and quality remain, I will remain a loyal customer to Burrito Beach.

Filled me up but that's about it...basically soup in a tortilla! Hate being negative but I had higher hopes based on the exterior looks of this place!

Passing through the airport I grabbed a ham and egg breakfast burrito.  Added salsa, cheese, beans for 39 cents extra, and rice.  It was really good!

It is slim pickings at this food court, I think the other options are McDs and Manchu Wok. The burrito was spicier than I expected but pretty good.

Big burrito at a good price.  Probably the best value in the airport, but the quality is kinda average.

My favorite stop in front of K4.

I always get the Baja chicken burrito and a small bottle of water.

I always get the same questions from the manager, usually in this order, so be prepared:

    "Anything to drink with that?"
    "Where you headed today, boss?"
"Far away from home now, aren't we?"
"Man, you're all over the place, ain't ya?"

Tasty burritos that stay warm until the wheels go up on the plane. decent guacamole & chips too.

But the biggest benefit is B-Smooth next door, which they also own. Delicious smoothies to put some health in my mouth while I'm loving those chips.

They set up their menu to imitate Chipotle, but it doesn't come close. I thought it was awful and will eat somewhere next time I'm in the airport. There are so many other options that this place won't be missed.

Burrito Beach is part of my breakfast routine when I fly out of O'Hare in the morning.  It's fast and easy.  I always get the chorizo and egg burrito which they make on the spot.  Great food and it definitely beats waiting in the long McDonalds line.

This is my old standby when in Terminal A flying Alaska or American.  It suits any non-Kosher diet.  Pig out city gut bomb burritos.  Lean low fat things (yuk) and even Atkins friendly choices (sans bacon).  Food is actually pretty good and I'm such a burrito fiend I almost named my first born after La Cumbre.  A much better choice than MaChu Wok, Sabarros and the other crap airport spots.

Anyway, I'm low carbin' it and they have a Low Carburrito bowl.  A good ratio of lettuce to meat (Chicken is all they offer, and the server was confused / non-compliant when I requested beef).  Nice variety of fresh tasting accompaniments.  And free of charge, a big heaping of jalapeno peppers - just what you need before the coach flight to Frankfurt.

Only problem is that I had this meal 4 hours ago and can still taste it and my stomach feels like a blender is inside it.  Hopefull it gets better than worse ...

For airport food, this place was not too bad.

I got one of the Beach Bowl Salads and while it was delicious and light but still filling, I could have gone with some spicier salsa.  It also tasted like the veggies were more Italian seasoned than south of the border.  I can't complain about the price, it was a reasonable $6, and at O'Hare Airport, that's a steal for a lunch!

You know the food is good with the pilots, etc are in line at a food joint!  Burrito Beach has AWESOME food to take with you on the plane!  Their burrito bowl is the best!  ...and don't forget to be part of their frequent eaters club!

You won't find this on my abysmal airport food list! Went for the trademark chicken burrito, and it was pretty freaking good. Packed full, it was also plenty to tide me over on the long flight to the west coast. Line was long, but moved quickly. There are also low-cal options on the menu. More than decent for an airport, counter-service stop.

This is really good airport fast food.  You can eat healthy-ish for a decent price (comparatively, of course - everything at airports is expensive).  I make a beeline for here every time I land at O'Hare if I have even a few minutes to spare.

I get the veggie burrito with extra guacamole, and I've never been disappointed.

Let me preface this by saying I am a flight attendant that works out of ORD. I eat airport food more than I care to admit. I am anti chain.
I LOVE my veggie and egg breakfast burritos at Burrito Beach. I get the tomatillo salsa which has more spice instead of the regular salsa. It's got onions, summer squash, zucchini, multi colored sweet peppers, scrambled eggs and comes with cheese and salsa inside. It fills me up and leaves me full until the afternoon. I have a problem with them. Their breakfast potatoes are great too. They are REAL red potatoes, with skin on, crisped on the flat top and taste fantastic ( I try to watch my carb intake so I avoid them except for the occasional treat). They have a specialty breakfast burrito that has beans, egg, jalapenos, cheese salsa and is great too.
I am really disappointed that they took off the pork burrito off the menu.. That burrito was the most flavorful, delicious thing ever!! Now I go with the steak quesidilla (add veggies for an extra charge), barbacoa burrito or the steak burrito but I usually substitute the rice for veggies . The burritos are really good sized. I am not a fan of their plain chicken because it's char grilled and I don't care for that flavor (plus I am not that big of a chicken fan period).
My coworkers seem to love the burrito bowls or low carb salad. To me, unless you eat that right away, the heat from the meat and beans wilts the lettuce and it becomes a mush bowl. I prefer to eat with my hands so give me a burrito. Forks and knives are for the birds.
The chips are blah but their guac is AWESOME.
The prices are really decent for airport fare. They do charge extra for corn salsa, guac, veggies (if it's not included on that particular burrito, taco, quesidilla or salad), etc. The charges can rack up if you don't know better. They have a Burrito Beach stamp card so once you've eaten 12 burritos, they 13th is free. I have gotten to know the staff so on occasion my card gets stamped a few extra stamps.
If you sign up for their email, you get specials or free items every month. The only catch to this is that at the ORD Terminal 3 location, they don't have the cookies they're advertising in the email or a few other items. It's a nice idea but it doesn't work at the airport location.
If you hate McDonald's, Panda Express, Chilli's and every other major chain at the airport, try this local chain. Fresh veggies, good guac and great breakfast burritos

I fly once a week and most times, I only have time for a quick meal at the airport. I usually eat here and it is pretty good. Last night was the exception. I had not eaten all day and ordered the steak tacos with the corn relish and sour cream. By the time I arrived home in Fort Lauderdale, I new something was not right. I was sick the entire night with extreme gastrointestinal cramping and pain. I will by pass this place, for good.

Had the beef bowl and a sml drink that amounted to $9.75. Bowl was not very large but was just half filled. Small servings at this place!! I know I'll be hungry again in 2hrs.

The food was okay, but I think this restaurant is a tad overpriced -  upcharged me to add a spoonful of corn on veggie salad... total bill for 1 person (salad/chips/water) - $14.00. I get the same thing at Chipotle for approx. $9.

Service was not terrible or great. Owner contacted me about my original bad review and wanted to rectify situation which I really appreciated! I will give this place another try next time I'm at O'Hare.

While dining at airport food courts is rarely a pleasant experience it's sometimes a necessary evil. The one-two punch of food that's often lousy and overpriced violates my sensibilities, but having no choice I looked around the terminal three h/k offerings and figured this outpost of chain Mexican was my least offensive option as far as price and recognizable ingredients. The option of grass fed beef won my skeptical wife over as well. The fact that the prices were a bit below the usual airport highway robbery sealed the deal.

A $7 burrito of grass fed beef proved to be an excellent choice: better than most chain Mexican I've experienced. Dare I say it was actually good? The team behind the counter were efficient, but still friendly. The portion size was enough for a dinner. The odd synthetic taste common in most fast food (especially at airport food courts) was absent.

Bottom line: I got a completely good meal from a chain Mexican joint in an airport for $7. Something that actually looked and tasted like food, instead of merely resembling it. Eating it was a pleasure, and there was none of that weird feeling that often follows the decision to substitute fast food for a meal. Go, Burrito Beach!

The long line attracted my attention. I figured this place must be good if it has the longest line of people in this terminal!

    PROS:
You want something quick at the airport. Between layovers and trying to grab something fast to bring onto the plane, sometimes you just go with convenience. It's also great that your order is made in front of you as you move down the line. Most importantly, the food is good and the steak burrito i had was enough to keep me full through my long cross country flight.

    CONS:
I had a mildly awkward ordering transaction but i'll dismiss it. They were moving a bit too fast for my taste. I didn't get to say i wanted corn in my burrito before they promptly wrapped it up. Not a big deal but i'd like to be able to get my order straight before they push me off to the cash register and move on to the next person. That tortilla didn't look like it was wrapped too tightly (eek). The sour cream ended up dripping out of my burrito about while i was mid way.
    Woah!

Sorry. Tasty, but, Chipotle all the way.

5 stars all the way.  Great food, reasonable prices.

I was weary because I come from "burrito land" (San Jose, CA) and I figured anything in an airport, let alone Chicago airport, would disappoint when compared to home.  Not necessarily so.  I was pleasantly surprised with my burrito.. Good amount of fillings and meat, very flavorful, and reasonably priced.

Staff was also very friendly and gave me a side of rice and chicken to feed to my daughter.  They were also very friendly, which is kind of rare at airports.

    Thanks!!

Best burrito in the airport at any price.  Where else in the land of quick serve food will you find a burrito maker that has been working there over 8 years?

The burritos are great, think about sharing because they are big too!

Yes, I'm reviewing a chain fast food place.

Yes, I'm giving it five stars.

Yes, I see that condescending look you're giving me.

    No, I do not care.

Yes, it is the tastiest place to eat in terminal two that I've found.

Yes, vegi quesadilla + chips + guac rocks my world nearly every time I fly through ORD

    No, I will not share.

In the mid airport dash it caught my eye and look reasonable and quick. It was both. As well as tasty.

Run of the mill steak burrito with rice, beans, pico, lettuce and sour cream. The steak had a bit of a rub on it that had some zest to it (i'm a weanie, I know). Luckily the sour cream drowned out the heat.

A little messy for the plane since I leaked some sauce into the foil wrapper and barely avoided my jeans. Not cool for someone traveling all day in the same pair of pants.

Near miss aside, food was good.

I think there is a pre-requisite that if you work in the food court at O'Hare, you cannot smile. Almost robotic service. Not Soup-Naziish but just- order, move down, pay, leave. Ok, I can handle that but lighten up. That aside, I am a fan. Great burrito or bowl or tacos (Chipotle-ish). They have a frequent buyer card so your 10th (i think) is free. Right next store is their partner store, they have smoothies and salads. They are also good. They too have a frequent buyer card for smoothies. For breakfast, I highly HIGHLY recommend the chorizo and egg burrito. It is awesome!

I just ate here and I always do when I pass through O'Hare.

Enjoyed...the cute staff flirt with me. I love breakfast burriots and they have cheap basic egg, cheese and salsa ones that hit the spot.  Also, inexpensive and they have a frequent eater punch card. I'm half way there. Good guac too.

Disliked...nothing, but it is not gourmet by any means, just basic airport grub.

We don't normally eat Mexican when we travel since we live in San Diego, but Burrito Beach at O'Hare (Terminal 3 between concourses H and K behind security) was recommended to us for airport food (actually for their salads to go). Like Chipotle, they build your burrito or taco to custom order, and use some nice meats. Unlike Chipotle, which focuses strictly on Mexican food, Burrito Beach has a few other options for their burritos - I got a barbecue chicken burrito, which was quite tasty, with beans, rice, cheese, salsa, and lettuce.
My wife wanted to try their beef brisket taco, but they were momentarily out of brisket, and wouldn't have any for another 20 minutes, so she got some type of chicken instead.

Service was pleasant and helpful, and while their burrito was not up to Chipotle size, it was tasty and sated my hunger before our flight. Salads and burritos are reasonably priced for airport food, while drinks are a bit inflated - $2 for a bottle of water.

And apparently their salads to go are great for taking on airplanes - made to order, rather than sitting in a cooler like the O'Briens a few stalls down.

Dining is shared in the common food court area.

My fiancee and I were waiting on our plane and got hungry. We decided to give this place a shot. The food is actually pretty good. I got a steak burrito and it was solid.

However, the service here was just horrible. I know I'm not at a steakhouse or at a fine dining restaurant, but I expect people to at least be cordial to you. It wasn't just 1 person, EVERYONE here just seemed like they hated their jobs and decided to let everyone eating there know it.

If I'm ever at that airport again, this would be the last place I would go to.

    Surprisingly good burritos!

I was really expecting a disaster, but these were pretty good - I had a BBQ chicken burrito and the chicken had a ton of flavor and was seasoned perfectly.  For $5 or $6 I got a very satisfying a quick meal...not bad.

I am sitting here a little stunned. I love burritos. I eat everything in a soft shell. I once believed that anything wrapped in a burrito, even bad airport food, would brighten my day. Now, because of a burrito from this stupidly named airport stall, my burrito optimism is gone. Of the dozens of burritos I have eaten all over the US, I can say with certainty that this was the worst burrito I have ever eaten. Worst. Ever. By far.

I ordered a veggie & goat cheese burrito with everything on it, and hoped for something unusual but edible. What I got was a HEAPING pile of black beans over a small pile of rice topped with a few scattered ingredients. It was a relatively small burrito, which can be good at the airport, but every bite was overwhelmed by the bland flavor of mediocre beans. Less than halfway through the burrito started pouring black bean juice all over my hand. A little after that, the soggy remains of the burrito fell apart. I tried to keep eating, but it was a big mess and a lot of trouble for a series of unpleasant black-bean-bites. Now I'm sitting in the H/K food court at O'Hare annoyed and full of beans.

Hopefully the other passengers on my upcoming flight won't have to suffer too.

I really enjoyed my experience with this Burrito Beach location. It was 9am and I had a free burrito coupon to redeem.  I ordered a grilled veggie burrito and 1 minute later it was in my hands. It all happened so fast! I presented my coupon without any issues.

I sat down in the food court and unwrapped my burrito. It was huge!! Unfortunately I didnt have a knife so I walked back up to the cashier and asked for a knife. She gave it to me no questions asked.  I then realized I needed a fork! At this point, the place was getting busy. But I didnt care, I needed a fork! I threw myself at the girl and told her I needed a fork. Again she gave it to me with no questions asked. Great customer service here! I would come back!

Of all the actual food options at the H/K food court (I'm not counting Dunkin' Donuts), I would pick Burrito Beach to win the "Best Bang for your Buck" award.

I usually get myself a carnitas burrito bowl (no tortilla, filling in a bowl) which is in the $7 range.  The carintas is actually decent and with flavor... the first time I'd half expected it to be taste like cardboard (this is the airport after all), but I was pleasantly surprised by how good and filling it was.  Unfortunately, the rice is bland.  At least the service is lightning fast.

When you don't want to pay $10+ for a cold salad, eat unhealthy McD's or mediocre Chinese, or get fat on donuts, this is the place to go.
