So, I went to Capone's this weekend and had a miserable experience. Â We found the "half-price" coupons that every other review mentions and gave it a shot. Â When we got there, we paid for the tickets at the window and then were let into the place. Â They told us to go upstairs to buy drinks. Â Well, we didn't want to buy drinks if we were having unlimited drinks in 30 minutes, so we stood around. Â When they saw that we weren't buying at the cash bar, they told us to leave and go outside "with the rest of the "riff raff", as told in-character by one of the waiters. Â So, we then go outside and wait in-line in the heat for 30 minutes (this place can't let people inside the A/C unless they are buying more stuff from them???). Â Dinner time rolls around, we are shown to our tables on the balcony. Â We are told our server would be right with us. Â It took about 10 minutes before he showed up to take our drink order and tell us about the buffet. Â He also mentioned that there was one other waiter on the balcony level that was helping that night, so apparently it was just these two "mooks" to wait on about 40 tables upstairs. Â You know what that means...we got our first drinks in about 10 minutes and then didn't get refills (for diet soda, btw) for about 30-45 minutes, despite walking past us and being told they would be back with them. Â Nothing like eating your dinner with nothing to drink! Â Which brings me to my next point...The food. Â This was some seriously disgusting food. Â It was basically overcooked, dried-out frozen tv dinners (family size, of course). Â The lasagna was hard as nails. Â They didn't have lamps on top of half of the buffet, so you couldn't see what you were eating, nor do they have any signs identifying what you are eating. Â I went to pick up some meatballs and the whole freaking pan slipped down into the steamer/warmer, so apparently the pan is not the right size for that buffet table. Â Nice! Â The roast beef was grisly, there were some questionable "bits" inside of the meatballs. Â Now, for the show...You kind of think that perhaps there would be more "gangster-like" acting involved, but it is really more of a singing and comedy show, and neither are done well. Â Also, just as another reviewer mentioned, they continuously made jokes about cheap tippers and reminding you to tip your server. Â That just seems to be very poor taste. Â Â Lastly, they had some stuff torn-up at the bar area and had a sign that said "please excuse our dust as we remodel", but it's clear that they haven't done anything to keep this place in-shape. Â It looks like no upkeep has been done to the place in 20 years. Â One staff person even walked by me with a power drill during the show (save the repairs for during the day, when guests aren't there). Â I've been to many of the dinner shows in the Kissimmee area over the years and can easily say that this was by far, the worst that I've ever attended. Â I couldn't wait to get out of there with our group of people. Â Spend your money wisely at nearly any one of the OTHER dinner shows in the area and save yourself a headache!
Review Source:My family and I came from Chicago to Orlando to see the sights and whatnot for the week of the fourth of July. I only asked to go to Al Capone's Dinner and show. I asked the hotel concierge what he thought of the place and he recommend that I not go to there because it is kind of lame and the other concierge by him also shook his head and said not to, however I decided not to take their advice and go by the good reviews I read. The more I read about it, the more excited I got. So we went there on the fourth of July, our last night there. When we got there the first thing I did was go in to the gift shop. I was looking around for some things to get my parents and decided to get my mom a white headband thing they had, she said it was not for her and she asked me to return it and insisted I buy something for myself for the $7 that the headband costed so I returned the headband, although the woman there wasn't thrilled and told me I can not buy anything there again for the night...rude! The police officer was nice and funny in the line we were waiting in. Once we got in, at 8pm we were greeted by the rest of the amazing staff which included Miss Jewel, our server, and others.
We were then called up to the buffet, which for vegetarians like ourselves didn't include much. But, we are an exception since most people eat meat and the buffet should be fine for them. The salad bar and the rest of the food seemed fresh and good to me. Also the Unlimited drinks and food was great. Our server was also amazing and talked to us a lot and made sure our cups were never empty.
The show is what killed it for me. Being so excited for CAPONE's Dinner and SHOW, I was severely let down. 90% of the jokes were about people being cheap and how they should pay a good tip...yes you read it correctly 90% of the show is about how people should pay a good tip. Also when you sit down there is a card telling you you should pay $7 in tips per adult and $5 per child. which, our server was great and he probably deserved every penny of it. But seriously, does Capone's not pay their employees that they spend 90% of the show telling their customers to? Also Al Capone is in the show for about 5-10 minutes all together. Wait...no he isn't...He is in a movie in the show...their management was probably too cheap to do that. Yet, the staff had to call a family the cheap family...probably written in their script by management. Also the actors probably had to fill in some of the time with random stand up about the audience, which was amusing for me...much more than the written part, but my father started falling asleep because of boredom. The actors were great however and I could see that they all were very talented even with their script, which for someone who gets easily impressed the script ruined it for me. They did have some jokes (not many) that were funny, and many that were inappropriate for young children and/or awkward for young adults visiting with their parents. If you do go, do yourself a favor and order your tickets online for half price because you will feel like you are getting stolen from for $60 per person full price. I am planning on returning to Orlando, just not Capone's unless they do something to their horrid script. Moral of the story...listen to your hotel concierge.

My husband and I went last night for Valentine's Day, since our Valentine's tradition is doing cheesy stuff in tourist town that we'd never otherwise do since we live in Orlando and typically try to steer clear of Kissimmee. We basically chose Capone's because we thought it would be funny to go and because there was a 50% off coupon online, but we both ended up having a great time! The staff was fantastic, they were all in character the whole time and were all friendly, helpful, and attentive. It seemed like they really enjoyed what they were doing and they really helped to keep the overall vibe fun. The show was funny and the acting was good, corny but intentionally so. The food was fine, not unbelievable but nothing to complain about. I feel like some of the other reviewers mistakenly thought they were going to see a realistic rendition of The Godfather complete with entrees from Del Frisco's, which is just ridiculous. It is what it is! And for what it is, it's good. With the coupon on their website it was only $30 each, and for a show, a buffet, and unlimited free booze, I thought it was well worth it.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: When we arrived, there was a huge line outside. We ended up not having to wait in it at all because we booked tickets online, which was awesome, but we very nearly got in the back of the line because we didn't know what was going on or where we were supposed to be. We just luckily happened to see someone in a costume in the middle of a bunch of people that looked like he was handing out tickets, so we asked him. I don't know if this is how it always is or if it's because it was Valentine's Day. It also took a super long time before everyone was seated and the show began, which wasn't awful for us since we were seated early and were enjoying interacting with the cast inside, but would have probably sucked had we been in that line for well over an hour. We also didn't leave until almost midnight, which I wasn't expecting. But again, maybe this is just because it was Valentine's Day, and it didn't ruin the night.

Yes, the show was a bit cheesy. But the time frame the theatre is set in, 1920's-30's was a very cheesy time. All about laughs and endings where everything works out. The food was good, not over the top amazing but good. In fact, it was better food than the Alahambra dinner theatre in Jacksonville! And it was PACKED on a Saturday night.
We loved the acting and the overall interaction of the service staff and cast. Everyone is in character before, during and after the show, and as an actress I LOVED that.
Great talent with a good script and so much fun.
The reason why I gave four stars instead of five was minor technical things like not all the lights on the stairs working, (Half of the lights out on certain steps, etc). That was the ONLY issue we had.
It's fun, and expensive, but you can always find 50% coupons which tells me that their more about bringing people in for a good time than making money, which is awesome.
Definitely try it out!!!
The food was discusting. Â Our server brought out some fresh plates and one of them had a small bug running around on it. At that point we were all done eating. Some of the reviews talk about how their glasses were always kept full but mine was not. And the beer was warm.
The show was funny at times, but not appropriate for kids. When a guest said he was from Texas a performer decided to break out the "only steers and queers come from Texas" joke. Nobody laughed.
I would not recommend this place, the food really seriously might have been the worst I've ever had anywhere.
There is something special in my heart for dinner theaters.  It combines two of my favorite things, comedy/acting and food.  I think if people go into a dinner theater with a  bad attitude, it doesn't matter how amazing it is, people are gonnna hate.  Capone's in my eyes, is one of the better dinner theaters in Orlando. Let's break it down kids.....
Food:
The food is about as standard Italian gets. Â It is in a buffet. Â It ain't your momma's homemade pasta, but it holds up to be a decent and filling meal. Â They also offer pretty much standard Thanksgiving fixings as well, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, turkey, honey ham(mmm). Â A bit odd for the theme, but I wasn't complaining! Out of other shows I've gone to, it was the second best I've had. We'll say 3 stars
Drinks:
Man oh man, they don't skimp on the drinks! Â I nearly had to fight my server off from bringing me a fresh beer everytime he came by, which is a good thing, and I would have fought a lot less if I wasn't driving later. Â They have wine that was good, mixed cocktails, and some rum punch drink. I didn't get a chance to endluge in the liquors, but other tables were asking for pitchers of the stuff. I'd give the drinks 5 stars.
Entertainment:
The show is funny. Yes, the show is cheesy, but in a perfectly melted on your Philly cheesesteak cheesy. Â All the actors were extrememly nice, and even busted my balls for not putting a ring on the gf's finger(had a really good laugh with them). Â The singing wasn't bad, never a song I wished would hurry up and end. Â The laughs were constant and the vibe was very lively. Â I'd gladly give them 4 stars for the show. Bravo!
All in all, Capone's is a great change of pace from your everyday dinner and boring conversation with your significant other. Â It seems you can always get tickets for half off (full price would be a bit rough at $60), so for about $30 you get unlimited Italian and Thanksgiving dinner, More drinks then you could fathom in a 2 hour period, and an entertaining show. Â Tell me ANYWHERE you could get the same amount of stuff for that price. Â Seriously, you just spent $30 at a dive bar last night.....Fo-get about it!
My family and I had a lot of fun. Very kitschy. I thought the food was okay. My mom got sick from it though, so if you have a sensitive stomach you are forewarned.
The show was funny, and after spending a week on vacation in Florida and eating at restaurants and fast food joints the whole time this was a nice change.
My girlfriend and I had a great time. Â The performers seemed like they were having a lot of fun and the servers were attentive. Â Further, some places like this offer "unlimited drinks" and don't keep your glass full, this place says it and means it.
Look, if you've made it far enough to look this place up on yelp, buy your tickets! Â We had a blast.
This has to be the cheesiest dinner show in the area lol.
The acting is not even high school level. The food is served buffet style and was already setup prior to anyone being let into the theatre. It consisted of a sad salad some dried out yet mushy pasta and some mushy tasteless canned veggies.
The following show was only amusing because it was so overly corney.
* Food was better than some places I've been to in Vegas on recent travel.
* Show was entertaining: the staff did well to engage the crowd as foils for their own acts.
* Staff used self-depreciation to humorous effect. "You'll want a drink when you try the food!"
* They take your picture at entry, then during intermission, they will offer you a chance to buy mementos: came out better than what you're offered over at the Universal rides.
Food was not great. Â Had been sitting on a buffet for at least 45 minutes when we got in line. Â We were the second table at the buffet. Â Drinks were kept full, but the mixed drinks were very weak. Â If you order beer or wine you got your fill. Â Show was cheesy, but I was not overly disappointed in it. Â The big let down was the quality of the food and the service.

I'm pretty sure that they always have "half price" tickets for sale in order to lure in more guests. It's not worth it, even it at "half price." Skip this and check out other options in the area.
Review Source:Ok, honestly the Original show was much much better, if it were still the same show I would rate this place a 5. People often say the food is horrible, well I have been to plenty of dinner shows in the area and by far Capones has the best food, plus its ayce. The alcohol drinks are watered down, but hey, they are free... and I don't think children would really enjoy this show. BUT for the price (find yourself a coupon, there everywhere) and the food and the show, it's a fun night out.
