Characters Sports Bar & Grill

I haven't been to Characters in a few years but here's what I remember...

Located right in the heart of downtown. A big place with lots of TVs and memorabilia.

Characters Sports Bar is the name of the bar half of the space, the other half of the space is a restaurant called The Raging Buffalo.

As of my last visit, *officially* the bar proper is only open on weekends. The rest of the week, though you can still order drinks, a huge red curtain hides the bar so that the extremely conservative  local residents won't have to be offended by seeing it while they are eating.

I lived above the bar while I was attending Graceland.  When I first moved in it was still the antique store, then Dave turned it into Characters.  Pretty sweet for a town without a bar for so long.  I was there through the good and the bad.  Back when Roman was slinging tacos at the side bar(good) and Leroy was DJing(bad).  Now it kinda sucks, especially on the weekends when it turns into a dance club.  Anyways, it could've been a lot worse.
