Wow, this place is bad! I guess I have to give it two stars, because the fish n chips were so indelible, it saved my waistline by not being able to eat more than two pieces. Â The "Belgian wheat 'beah' (beer)" is like drinking a Miller; it doesn't even resemble wheat beer in any way other than being yellow/straw colored. The "award-winning" clam "chowda", was watery, very few potatoes, very little clam flavor, very few clams. I couldn't finish a single dish. Â It was just downright bad.
This restaurant clearly exists to serve out of towners, like me.
What to do when you're already through security at terminal B and aren't interested in the mega caloric, soggy mess called a panini at the Admirals Club? Â Have never tried Cisco and walk by all the time.
Ordered a quesadilla and a brew. Good beer, OK quesadilla but couldn't finish it. It's OK but a better option is to stop at the seafood place before security.
This place was terrible. You'd expect an airport restaurant to have quick service given that everyone there has a plane to catch, but that was not the case here. After the waitress threw a menu on my table with no welcome, she came back 5 min later to get my order. The beer came fairly quick but with a large head and again the waitress threw it down and did not stick around. Another woman brought me the green bean appetizer a while longer and then I never saw the waitress again. I wanted a glass of water and could see her in the back eating and drinking (I had a table in the back corner that gave me a slight view of the little room before the kitchen). Finally I got her attention and made the check motion and she nodded. This was after I had been there for 30 minutes. I then had to wait another 15 min before she even got close to me and even then she didn't have the check so I asked again. She went back to serving people at the bar before she finally brought it over. At that point I had my credit card ready to go, but she ran away when I tried to give it to her when she handed me the bill. She again didn't come back for 5 min even though I asked her to take it as she went to clean tables. It was ridiculous and would have made me late for my flight if I had been in any kind of hurry. As it was, I spent almost an hour having one beer and one appetizer which is unacceptable for an airport restaurant and just plain rude when you're ignored that entire time.
As for the beer and food, the blonde ale was decent, not great and not worth having again. I also ordered the fried green beans, which were just okay. I liked the aioli sauce, but the batter on the beans was too thick and not flaky at all.
Overall, I will avoid this place in all future trips. I'd rather eat at Todd English's restaurant and pay more or even go to the McDonald's for better service. If this place wasn't in the airport, it would never survive.
