15 minutes passed before getting check up on our drinks
Asked for medium and they gave me medium-raw. They were going to just stick it back on the grill so we had to ask for a new one. Some more time passed and finally got the burger.. except that it was even more raw.

The waitress tried... but the manager did not.The manager offered to take the bad order off our bill.. when we couldn't even eat it..  Decided to have the third try to go, and so we did have to pay for it..  as a one-time courtesy after serving raw meat twice, she offered to take our Groupon for the to-go.

The coleslaw was warm. Our ketchup was farting out its last contents. Curly Q fries were stale. Waitress took my napkin mid meal and did not replace it. Menus smelled like dirty rags and were sticky. The waitress also took our phone with the groupon on it with her. as she was waiting for her manager. So the phone that holds the credit cards and ID was left in the dirty pockets of the apron for 5 minutes.

I also found two booger-like objects stuck on my shirt after I left. Dirty chairs.

    Pros:
Good, friendly service and big portions.
    Good for brunch.
    Great value.
    Tasty meals
    Cons:
The menu is like a phone book and is really hard to get through on your first visit.  It is very hard to pick something.

Coolidge Corner Clubhouse was a great surprise while staying in Brookline, MA on a recent weekend and looking for a place to eat on the way to a Sox game.

Yes, it's a sports bar that covers all the basics and has plenty of tap beer choices, but the menu is huge.  I'm talking Cheesecake Factory huge with a ton of options.

They have a list of sandwiches named for local (and some non-local) sports figures both past and present.  I ordered the Red Auerbach, which was a hot corned beef and pastrami combo on rye with Swiss and brown mustard.  My wife ordered the Eli Manning, which was turkey, bacon and swiss with Russian dressing on pumpernickel and she was able to pick corn and bean relish as a side for a different twist on things. Excellent stuff both. And big.

I got onion rings as a side for $1 extra and ended up with a full basket of battered goodness.  Wow!

Portions are huge and I saw a variety of plates going around on a late Sunday morning that were good size and were part of an extensive brunch menu.

Apparently the nacho and wing appetizers are legendary for their size and quality.  If ever in the area again, I'll be back for the more traditional pub-style food.

The space, especially the bar area, is surprisingly small for a sports bar.  But get there early, anyway, because it's going to take you a while to decide and it gets extremely busy quickly based on the fact it was packed on a Sunday morning.  Imagine what it's like when there's a big game?
