I Went in on a Wednesday morning at 8 and there were only a couple of bagels left yet they looked not cooked enough. Â They are $1.18 each for a bagel if they have any left! There was a nice selection of drip coffees . Would not really consider this a bagel place but for a breakfast cafe . The bagel are most likely frozen. Â Â Nothing here really looked like wow I have to try that.
Review Source:My wife & I discovered a nice cozy tiny spot in Topsfield Center for freshly brewed Coffees & Teas where we could go to relax with the morning paper and enjoy a variety of fresh Bagels & warm Scones.....( We reccommend the Italian Cheese Bagel & Maple Walnut Scone..)......The owner Beth & her helpful crew make everyone feel like a member of their family.
This corner Cafe is a little gem in the heart of Topsfield !
Looks like a good find at first, but just try getting there near lunchtime and actually get any food that is on the menu. My wife and I asked for the soup of the day an were told, "we didn't heat any of it up this morning.". (Strike one)
OK...let me try one of the turkey melts. "We only have a big turkey breast and no slicer.". (Two strikes)
OK...Let me try the Three Cheese Bacon Panini. "We don't have any of the tomato basil bread.". Â (Three strikes...you're out!)
Worse part was the attitude we got from the cashier like it was our fault for getting there too late (at 12:15)!
Never again!
Walk across the parking lot to the much more pleasant staff at Day Break Cafe, who actually seem to believe in serving good food to paying customers with a smile!
I love this place! Healthy options, as well as tempting sweets!
The tuna and chicken salad are wonderful- a must try. Everyone is welcome and you feel like you're part of the "local crew" when you go in. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the coffee is better than any Starbuck or DD around!
I went back today for the American Melt - ham, tomato and cheese on multi grain bread. Very tasty. And iced coffe - which was good and strong.
And graham cracker ice cream. Which I needed like an extra hole in my head, but managed to put in the existing one.
The baked goods are made in house - the owner was taking them out of the oven when I got there. I'll be back to contribute to my muffin top.
I love the Corner Cafe because it's one of the few places that brews flavored coffee (no syrups!). Every day they offer 3-4 different flavored brews in addition to several choices for non-flavored coffee (including organic blends). If you get there in time for the bagels (before 10:30AM) definitely get one - there are 4 different kinds of cream cheese toppings to choose from (including light veggie).
It's a warm and cozy community gathering space. They have an honor system for paying for coffee so just "feed the fish" if you're in a rush. Â
Sandwiches are all super fresh too, so good spot for lunch. Â The owner is a baker so I am sure all the cookies and cinnamon buns are incredible (but I've never tried them).
They do close at 3PM though, so don't try to grab a coffee after 3.
