Came here with a group of friends for a night out in Holden. Â Let's just say come for the good, not the service. Â At least don't cuss... You might be put on probation by the old gray haired female owner. Â I think she was up too late and just ate a lemon. Â Who knows, must only care about the regulars and locals. Â My friend who recently moved to Holden area (5-6 years ago) said she has always been a sour puss and need to get some. Â Dear Lord!
As for the food, great burgers and sandwiches; you must try the Reuben for lunch or dinner. Â And yes they have fried foods. Â
OK, now back to my rant...
It is amazing how a place called Cowboy Inn does not like caring for bar patrons. Â It's a Friday night, busy (at least that is what the bartender said - 10 customers plus our group of 7) and they barely can be bothered. Â Even the locals left be because off the lack of service. Â
They have a pool table, bowling video game, and TouchTunes music. Â The bathrooms are a step below a filling station's, minus the key. Â
If I come back, Â it will be to get take out and head over to Stumble Inn and listen to the trains and good conversation.
This was a nice quiet downtown bar with a small deli counter in the front service a variety of sandwiches and fried foods.
I was there towards the end of lunchtime and found the bar atmosphere pretty comfortable and relaxing.
I had a tenderloin and fries. Â The sandwich was nice and crispy, yet tender and juicy on the outside. Â The fries looked burnt at first but were not overcooked at all and were in fact quite delicious.
