Cozy Hookah And Cigar Lounge

I'm giving this place 3 stars based on my wide variety of experiences here.  When they first opened they handed out nice VIP cards which gave you a discount on your bill and also had all their information printed on it.  One time I went a few months after opening I forked my card over with the bill and the blonde girl working there lost it and they gave me a crappy flimsy paper card back.  I'm not sure how one "loses" a hard VIP card.  On another occasion the same blonde girl was asked by my party to find out what the ingredients were in one of their hookah's with an ambiguous name like Pharaoh and she disappeared for 20 minutes.  When she came back she ignored us and stood talking and flirting with the bouncer.  I gave her a hard stare until she noticed me looking and I heard her audibly exclaim "OH!" and then ran off to find out the information she had apparently forgotten.  Ditzy blonde aside, the general service is not too bad.  I prefer to sit in the VIP area in the back especially now that they've added a "dance floor" in the front and have all these crazy lights and music blaring up there.  They charge a stupid $5 cover fee on friday and saturday nights because of the dance floor "club".  To me this doesn't make sense, I prefer to smoke hookah in the relative darkness and calm of the VIP section and just have a good chill time with people and actually be able to hear what they're saying to me without godawful lights shining into my eyes constantly.  I recommend the lower priced $12 hookah flavors for anyone on a budget, they refill the coals as long as you want and you really cannot beat smoking hookah for 6+ hours on less than $15.  They're open until 4am which is great if it's your main place to chill or just looking for somewhere to go after the bars close.

Overall I'll still visit Cozy since it's convenient for me and I like the pluses more than I dislike the minuses.  However, there is going to be a new hookah place opening up in town and it will be interesting to see if they take Cozy's business or if the competition forces them to step their game up since they will no longer be a monopoly in West Chester.

Ok ...it says somethin when I can't wait to get home to tear this place to shreds on yelp. If I could give negative stars, I totally would.

I will start with a positive. The girl checking id's was the ONLY friendly aspect of this place.

Now on to the bad...

1. They charged us a BYOB fee. Who does that?!

2. We ordered a hookah. Took 30 min and us asking the server 4 times where it was.

3. The hookah was the wrong flavor. We ordered strawberry. We got licorice. Then he told me I asked for that...WRONG!!!!

4. The hookah stopped smoking after 10 min. Then took us another 15 min to get coals.

5. I ordered a cigar and the server/owner said he was all out of cigars. I looked behind him and the glass case was stocked.

Avoid this place. Nothing but BS and rude staff....except the girl at the door. She was extremely friendly.

This is a great place for a group to get the party started or keep it going. Bring your own bottle, they've got your smoke and a fun middle eastern menu. Best for larger groups, but small groups will still have a blast.

We ordered a hookah and some hummus and the owner chatted us up for a bit. Wind down here after everywhere else is closed.
