Good place when the weather permits. When the patio and upper deck is open, good weather has to make the experience better. Well it was a still night and the weather was a little muggy just as usual. Not so great of a feeling when sitting inside without air circulation.
Besides that, the menu was simple. Alligator bites are always interesting. Think of chewy chicken nuggets. Nothing special but everything is good.
Dinner here was by far the best meal we had during our stay in Clearwater. Â The food was fairly priced, of generous portion size, and there was a good selection of entrees; seafood, beef, chicken, as well as lighter fare; sandwiches and salads. Â Service was spot on and our waiter (from Paris, loved his accent) was prompt with refilling glasses and making sure everything was ok. Â We ordered gator bites, a new dish for me and I loved them! Â If all gator takes this good then I'm a fan. Â We also ordered a chicken dish which wasn't dry, was well seasoned, and enough for two meals, as well as a Cajun pasta dish (very tasty) and HUGE casaer salad. Â
Based on our negative experience dining outdoors at Frenchy's a day earlier we choose indoor dining on the upper level. Â There was these mister type sprinkles installed above the tables as well as fans that kept the space very comfortable. Â My only grip is the one stall/one bathroom. Â For a place of this size they really could use another stall or two in the ladies room as we had to wait in line and there was no real convenient place to stand that didn't put us out of the way. Â
Overall we had a  very pleasant experience and we will seek them out again if we find ourselves back in this area.
