The Crossing

The Crossing is a below average pub in a city with a multitude of pub options. The nachos are terrible - unlayered, with ingredients that seem like they were borrowed from the nearby Subway. The bartender is unattentive, and when I've ordered cocktails from here, they've tasted a bit watered down. The various sandwiches and burgers here are merely okay. Unless you are desperate to catch a sports game and are unable to venture to a proper sport bar, I can't say that there is a good reason to come here.

The Crossing is my favorite bar on Mission Hill.  They have the best deals on food and drinks and a friendly wait staff.  On Mondays they have $4 pizzas, and on Thursdays $1.50 tacos.  My favorite is probably the chicken fajita wrap with sweet potato fries, and the calamari!  Definitely stop by if you are looking for a good local bar.  Good for groups and dates!

The food is always tasty, they always put a creative spin on everyday dishes. We love the Crossing calamari, it's way better than the normal fried calamari with marinara, the Crossing calamari is golden and crispy then smothered in spicy Thai chili sauce, we devour the humongous serving just us two!  The salads are always fresh and loaded up, not what you usually see at a bar, burgers are juicy and beers are ice cold, and did I mention how much food you get for the price!? We always look forward on going back
