My girlfriend has been taking this place up forever so we went on Monday at 6:30. We didn't get our soups or edemae til 60 minutes later, then the sushi came another 20 min later. We also ordered pan noodles and they came out when we were already done eating, they were over cooked and salty. Everyone was really friendly but a $50 meal that takes 1 hr 30 min is not worth it, will not be going back.

Â So I dropped in and placed an order on a Tuesday at 1:15 - there were a few folks in the place, but nothing out of the ordinary. Â I was told to come back in 20 minutes. Â I did....and then I waited...and waited.
I watched TWO other groups of takeout orders come in 30-40 minutes after I placed my order and I watched them walk out with theirs while I still sat and waited. Â That is seriously rude. Â I finally got my order at 2:35 - 1 hour and 20 minutes after I placed it! Â
While I was there, another table came in and said they'd been waiting an hour for their order as well. Â All I can say is that they'd better hire more employees, because awesome food only goes so far.
Wow, what a great find! Â Now our move from Fairfax County to Calvert is complete. Â We have missed the cuisine in "Korean town" Annandale Virginia, but, after tonight's dinner, we are very encouraged. Â In addition to very fresh sushi, friendly service, we noticed the small menu of Bulgogi and other Korean dishes. Â
We ordered the Bento box, and, both my husband and I had trouble finishing them, not because they weren't great...but because it was a very healthy serving. Â Probably the best Miso soup I have had.
Can't wait to come back and try more!
Have eaten here 4-5 times since they opened a year or two ago. Â Have enjoyed every meal here so far. Â I have always ordered the Bento box dinner and love everything you get - salad/soup, California roll, tempura, rice, pickles and protein of your choice. Â So many things to try in just one meal. Â Husband usually orders from the shusi menu or tries one of the Korean choices. Â We have never been disappointed. Â Love the lady servers, they are so nice! Â Plus you get a little amuse bouche with your beverage, crispy cream cheese and onion filled wonton!

Â We didn't have any reservations but we asked for a table for 6 because we were meeting here with my best friend's family. Â The lady seated us and so we waited. Â Well an hour later my friend ended up not making it. Â Luckily there were no other big parties that came in after us and when we told the lady that it was just going to be 2 of us for dinner, she wasn't upset.
This is probably one of the greatest restaurants I've been to anywhere though! I really hope they can survive out here because their location seems out in the middle of smallstownsville of Deale, MD, but I hear they are very popular with the locals so I think they're safe!
The only thing missing from this place is sake! Â They serve no alcohol!
I was happy to see a sushi place open in Deale, and thrilled to discover that it is quite good. I haven't yet sampled many things on the menu yet, but I just had the tuna avocado roll and the yellowtail nigiri, and they were both very good -- quite fresh. I can be picky about that, too, as anyone who likes sushi should be.
The proprietors seem very nice, too.
I will certainly be back!
As a person who only gives praises only when praising is due... I have to say this place is awesome! Â I heard about this place from an airmen stationed in Andrews AFB (35 minutes west of Deale, MD) and said the sushi here is phenomenal. Â Now, I live in Gainesville, VA mind you so... driving nearly two hours for sushi would take a miracle.
Last Saturday, I drove out to Andrews AFB and decided why not get sushi... I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT, but this place had the best sushi I've ever eaten. Â I ordered for my girlfriend and I {the boat sashimi(sp}... it was truly mouth watering.
If you are ever in the area or if you are in the mood for great sushi in the DC area check it out... you won't be discouraged.... TRUE FORM OF edible art.

Excellent!!! I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much considering the location but boy was I wrong. We were enthusiastically greeted by the owner when we walked in the door and it was smooth sailing from there on. Great sushi, great service, and the owner couldn't be any nicer. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me was the fact that they serve the drinks in a can, takeout chinese style. It's great to have some good sushi closer to home than Annapolis for once.
