Have you ever had one of those sandwiches that you remember about 3 months later?

I couldn't find it again, their sandwich board was updated. The second time there I found that I Just. Can't. Stop. Discovering. Sandwiches here. Yet again, I found myself discovering the bounty of life through this sandwich board. This time around, another one, about to be dropped: Black Forest Ham, braised cabbage, pepper Jack, horseradish aioli. Now, yes, I've had a good couple sandwiches here, and I'm a glutton for hyperbole, yet... really, this one, this was one of the best sandwiches of my life. I found it. The first one was pretty damn remarkable, as was their soup, with extras given This was it though - One of the best. Why you say? The right balance of hearty & heat (horseradish & pepper Jack), meat, cheese & cabbage. This was real, whole ham. I would've mistook it for bacon if I had not seen it before. I was hoping this one would stick around as a staple, but then again... that would take away a spot on the board for more creativity, and it's that creativity the goes a long way around here.

I'd hock & hiss like a mad goose on the Three Rivers pathways, if this place were taken away from us.
Thankfully, it's thriving. For good reason to: beginning with the pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Cheery, open for q&a and clearly they indulge in the sandwiches they craft. Keep it up!

Lindi Miller really believes that food is art, and it shows in her cooking at Deli 620. It's simple, elegant deli food, but there's nothing basic about it. Of course, deli staples are available: pasta salads, mayonaise-laden sides, tuna or chicken salad. If you want a simple sandwich, they can do it. Their selection also offers fresh takes on classics, which I recommend trying. (Try the jalapeno chicken salad. A little bit of heat, fresh jalapeno slices, creamy. Yum.)

My favorite offerings at Deli 620 are the soups! There's a spicy tomato basil that's just killer.

For the uninitiated, it can be a bit overwhelming. In true deli fashion, specialty sandwiches are listed in chalk on the wall overhead as you walk in. Then you're greeted by one of the many amiable young ladies who work there, who's standing behind a deli case filled with delicious looking sides like fresh cut fruit or brocoli salad. You will immediately think "I want one of everything" and forget to look at the sandwich selections on the wall. Breathe. Ask about the soup of the day. It will inevitably also sound delicious. You picked out clothes this morning; you are capable of making the decision of what to have for lunch.

It gets very busy at noon, so it's best to go a little earlier (11 am) or later (1 pm). If you choose to go at noon for your first visit, be prepared for regulars to swarm around you to get to the salad bar. By the way, the salad bar features kimchi. Just so you know. If you're into that kind of thing.

    Seating is limited.
