Equipment is perfect/new condition. That would be enough for any pool hall to get 5 stars.  Pool was FREE on Saturday, as long as we bought a drink or two (some REALLY small minimum - $5 maybe?)  Food was large - we got nachos and was enough for 2.  I was so happy with the place I ended up buying a new que!  They even have a separated off area  - 3 tables - so that guys who are super serious (and likely putting some sort of stakes on their games) will not be disturbed by the rest of us 99% who aren't quite on their level or even 3 or 4 levels down- that's a service to both them and us, because you really wouldn't want to bug somebody accidentally that had something riding on their game...  

I've played pool all my life. I own a high quality food business, ranked #4 out of 4399 in DC:    If I ever had the money to put together a pool hall - this is the one I'd make if I could afford it.  Great job guys.  Side note - every good business deserves to make money.  I hope the Free pool for just $5 in food is enough to sustain the business. (it would be a shame if this place ever went away.    Most people expect to pay an hourly. Not sure why this place isn't worth it; of all the places I've played, the tables and nice space here are certainly worth a charge. A reduced hourly might be more reasonable. This marks the first time I've ever told a business the should charge more; they're worth it!

Interesting.  TN says there are 15 8' tables - actually, 9' tables and there is no such thing as "cowbells" when you set the rack.  Diamond Billiards is a clean, affordable, friendly place to play pool.  Thomas and Cindy, the owners, maintain the tables so they're all in great shape.  I've only been playing pool for 1 1/2 years so I'm not familiar with the dingy, smoky bars of years past but then, I wouldn't have played in any of those anyway.  
The food here is surprisingly good for a "pool hall."  My husband and I eat our lunch or grab a snack at night fairly often.  Prices for food are very reasonable as well.  The Diamond Burger is excellent as are the quesadillas and the "wings."  
There is often a band playing on Saturday evenings with no cover.  A great place to enjoy an evening.  I am a frequent player but I have no affiliation with the owner other than I consider the owners my friends after all this time.  You will too!

Good food (had the reuben sandwich and fries) and decently priced pool. Lots of space and friendly family-owned staff. I love that 2 hrs of pool are free with a lunch purchase on the weekdays. It's clean and nice in here. 4 stars.
