The Dive House

I'm awarding this place 4 stars (when it'd typically be 3 for me) for the potential it has to be awesome... eventually. The interior is just as I'd expected, very dive-tastic. A variety of music (most of it good, though that completely depends on the clientele) played loudly on the internet jukebox, the walls are adorned with classic photographs of classic music artists (The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Elvis to name a few), and the occasional beer sign/neon light. There are a few tables, a pool table, and a minuscule bar.

Actually, my plan was to sit at the bar to enjoy my beer, attempting to be social, but all eight-ish seats were taken by a group of people that, clearly, knew each other. Service was pretty great, too, they even gave me a shot glass of some sort of chips and nut mix.

My main complaint about this place that, so far, seems completely awesome, is the beer selection. There's nothing out of the ordinary for Valley bars. They have Michelob Ultra and Bud Light on draught and your standard fare in bottles (the "better" IMO beers being XX and LandShark... and I think most people that read my reviews know how I feel about even those). But, the beers they DO have are well priced.

So, as I said, this place has potential. I think they need a bigger variety of beer and I look forward to the patio opening.
