Dog Bar & Hotel Westfalls

Will not return, ordered steaks medium well - came out medium rare, blood all over the plate.   Said they were out of baked potato unless we wanted to wait 10-20 more minutes, so we ordered wedges a garlic mash or simple mash, not an option? Not sure why they just didn't cook the steaks 20 more minutes so they'd be medium well & then we would have had the baked potato by then?  It was our 22nd wedding anniversary - husband ate alone because I sent steak back , he just tolerated the raw steak.... we then took meal to go and for $90 ended up having to grill the steak @ home to medium well!

We just moved down the road in Colden and our realtor recommended this place, she said it is like stepping back in time when you go in.  SHe was right, the building has a lot of history and had a lot of old stuff on the walls.  My husband was disappointed that they don't offer appetizers, but all meals include soup, salad, bread, potato and vegetables.  Not too many options but the food is really good and the portions are large.  Steak, chops and lobster.  The steaks were all cooked perfectly and the lobster was amazing.  They have a large dessert menu, tons of cakes and pies.  It does take a while for the courses to come out but I didn't mind.  They take reservations, they are recommended.  Going again tonight!

I finally had my first Dog Bar experience over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was awesome!!!  My parents have a 40 year history with the place and I've been missing out.  The steaks were cooked perfectly, they had a variety of fresh baked breads, and great french onion soup.  The sea bugs, AKA lobsters looked amazing!  I can't wait to get back there to try them.
