This is based strictly on a to go order before a late meeting on a Wednesday evening 1/09 at 6:40pm to be exact. Â I was flying solo.
Elected for a vegetarian quesadilla to go - which was a couple bucks more than the chick or beef - but was intrigued. Â Cashier promised me 5 minutes. Â Took closer to 10 - fine.
My to go sack was properly equipped w/ suitable utensils, a terrible excuse for a napkin, salt/pep, nice sized and securely wrapped bag of fresh chips, salsa and a foil container for my order.
Best veggie quesadilla I've ever had. Â Ever. Â Think fajita style veg mixture w/ queso enveloped in a warm grilled tortilla. Â Frankly, this was the first time I've been back in 5 years because the food had been so-so.
I'll give them another shot, and in the interim if you enjoy a veg entree occasionally - I'd give that item a solid thumbs up.
Good food, poor service due to inadequate serving staff. Â I am sitting here I. A booth with my family and had my older daughter ready to get up to get chips & salsa. Â Just ask for second chips and salsa immediately. Staff works hard, but two staff for twenty tables is not working tonight.:(
Review Source:I'm sorry, I wish I could review this place higher...the service is outstanding and the people who work there are very friendly, but I've had MUCH better Mexican food. Â I've tried it three times (each time hoping it would be an improvement), but I was disappointed each time. :( The food was cheap, but it was pretty bland. Â It didn't really have that bold flavor and seasoning that I was hoping for in my authentic Mexican food.
Someone told me that it's gone downhill and used to be really good...I guess I caught it after that happened. Â
I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I just ate at Real Hacienda in Anderson today, and it was the best Mexican food I've had in literally YEARS. Â
Sorry, El Camino! Â I wanted to love you! *sniff*
I'm a HUGE fan of El Camino...I've been going there for years. Â I only ever lived in Noblesville for six months at one point, but I drive up there when I'm able. Â The people that work there are great, the food is amazing, and it's nostalgic since I've been going practically since they opened. :)
The only downside is that their salsa has changed in the past year or so...it's not bad, but different, and I liked it better before. Â The prices have gone up a couple of times as well, so that plus the distance means I don't go as much as I used to. Â Those things aside, I still adore the place!
After living in Taxes for 13 years moving to Noblesville it took some time to get real Tex-Mex food, but it is here at El Camino. Its as good as any place in Houston! The family who run the place are the nicest people you will meet. The food is fresh, hot and at a good price. The plates are full of food that tastes like being back in Texas. I have been trying something new each time we come here, and in most cases it once a week. I can't pick a front runner, it's all good!
Remember to eat well and live well and please no chains!
