El Charro Mexican Restaurant

Good service and value.  Need spicier entees for a authentic mexican food.  Ordered the carne asada thought I would get more then 4 thin pieces but the flavor was good and my wife got the mexican parrillada which was the bomb must have.  Good Ritas as well.

This is one of our regular "go to" restaurants when we are in the area.  The service is  always fast and friendly;  the food is above average and you get ample portions for the price.  My husband particularly likes the white salsa.  Their chips are okay, if not my favorite, but that is, as always, a matter of taste.

My favorite dish is the Burrito Charro, which is loaded with grilled shrimp and chicken.  It comes with a delicious white cheese sauce and I have never been able to eat more than half, and while I attribute that to my habit of filling up on chips and salsa beforehand, it does not negate the fact it is huge.

I don't think there is a combination of items you can think of they don't include in their combination lunch/dinner menus and there is a decent vegetarian menu, as well.

As for desserts, I am not a fan of their fried ice cream although the sopapillas are pretty good.

The food is yummy and you get a lot for your money. I really enjoy eating from here. Nice clean restaurant with a great atmosphere. Great lunch specials. They have speedy service and the staff is super super friendly. They made me feel welcomed. If you are wanting to try a different salsa you should try their white salsa or blanco salsa. It is yummy and different.
