Traditional Mexican food, meaning no cheddar cheese, pickled carrots, in-house prepared salsa (4 types), shredded cabbage. Â
I loved it.
They have tofu tacos (A-), guacomole (C, too much garlic), salsa (B+, could be hotter), chili rellenos (C). Â
Amazing daily deals. Â
Well tequila is 100% agave.
Fresh salsa that tastes great.
Yes please, may I have another?
Surly service is what to always expect here. If you are not a regular we would probably recommend going somewhere else, and that doesn't mean going next door to the Elk... just as bad. When you do get service it can be a cool place, but then again, that means getting service in the first place. The infused tequilas are excellent, and the food is ok for being mexi bar food. The bar would be a regular place to go if it wasn't always invaded by the too cool for school friends of The Elk.
Review Source:Now, that I'm no longer hip or cool, and am a career mom who likes to go out once in awhile and rub elbows with those who are still hip and cool - El Que is a nice place to do that. Â
A hole in the wall bar, with just the right cool factor that it doesn't seem forced, in a perfect Brown's location. Â I like that I can have a few drinks with friends, and still have a good dinner - food is actually pretty darn good. Â Tamales in pork or chicken are well known for being good, hand made - and indeed they were.
