El Salto Mexican Restaurant

My family loves this restaurant.  The manager, Miguel, is excellent and very kind and helpful

The worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. I waited ten minutes for a waiter to come to our table, but no one came so I flagged down a waiter who went to look for ours. Nearly five minutes later, our waiter finally showed up. We told him we were ready to order our food, but he said we could not order drinks and food at the same time. Five minutes later we were finally allowed to order our food.

I thought the worst was over, but I was so very wrong. I would like the reader to keep in mind that this happened at 5pm on a Tuesday night when the place was not yet busy with dinner but well staffed. We waited for our food, but it never came even 20 minutes later. We were just about to leave when it showed up. We both ordered the pork tacos. The meat was greasy and limp, the rice was extremely greasy and flavorless, the shells were store bought, and the beans were dry. I cannot believe we waited so long for that.

Our waiter managed to disappear again. My son was feeling sick, so I had to flag another waiter down in order to get our check. Another seven minutes go by before our check appears. I had a groupon I was using for our meal. The waiter told me that I could not use it. I asked him why, but all he would say was "no tonight." I told him that I was going to use it tong

I'm not sure why this place is getting such poor reviews. I always have decent food and great service.  I also love the little band that plays at your table on Wednesdays.
