I went there for the first time last week for the all you can eat taco's and they weren't very good. Â The taco shells weren't pre-warmed before they filled them so they weren't crispy. Â The meat had no Mexican seasoning whatsoever and they were cheap with the toppings. Â The lettuce was warm and wilted. Â I was hoping for more authentic Mexican tacos, these were not....As I looked at other peoples' food it looked liked decent American fare and a reasonable price. I will return since I live in the area. Â Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Â Great views out the back windows and deck area! Â This place is one of the better priced restaurants on the Scenic Drive, Â most of the other places are what us locals call, tourist prices.....so as a local I was glad to find a reasonable place to eat without having to drive to Duluth or Two Harbors...I will go back, Â but not for taco's.....
Review Source:I was here July 29, 2012 and the name is now "Lighthouse at Emily's"; website is http://www.lighthouseate…. I was here a few years ago when it was Emily's and I think it's been neatened up a bit. Love the deck on back overlooking the river and a train track. I like the food, the atmosphere, everything.
Review Source:I'm really happy that Emily's is open again! Â The new owners are really intent on giving their guests a good value and good food for their dollar. Â My family (2 adults, 3 young boys) stopped for lunch...everything was great, and my French Dip was excellent (not the tired old deli beef...real cut-off-the-roast beef). Â Even though we didn't drink any alcohol, their wine and beer list was loaded with good stuff at very fair prices. Â You gotta stop here!
