  On a recent visit to Queens Landing for an event (Boys II Men...oh yeah), I had a chance to hang out at the lakeside bar while the wife was mingling with some other people. Nice, low-key place on the water. Staff is friendly and talkative if you want. People were arriving on boats throughout my time there. Views are great! FYI...this is also a great place to rent boats if you're up in the Mooresville/Hwy 150 area.

  This unusual watering hole is touted as Lake Norman's "only" floating dock bar, hence the name.
  
  The bar is located at the back of the Queen's Landing complex and is basically a boathouse converted into a bar, accessed from land by a long walkway, from which you can buy food from dispensers to feed the fish.
  
  Boat slips stretch away from either side of the bar, providing plenty of access for those coming off the water.
  
  There are a few seats along the four-sided bar, but most of the seating capacity is on topof the structure, which provides great views of the lake and The Catawba Queen riverboat, which is anchored nearby when at port.
  
  The bar is open Wed-Sat during the summer and serves beverages only.
  It is definitely a great place to stare at the water and wind down the day.
