Forksville General Store

Restaurant was not busy, which was good because we had a party of 10. But then I worry the food would not be great, I was wrong!!  The owner chef obviously takes pride in food preparation.

The steak sandwiches are great, perhaps the best I have tasted outside of Philadelphia. The most popular was the chicken cheesesteak hoagie, even the side salad was carefully prepared . I had a cheesesteak hoagie (not chicken) and it was terrific.

There is a wall of candy for dessert but the cheesecake is great. The owner said they frequently host musicians so I will check their FB page for information . Be sure to take some pics by the covered bridge in the back.

Had an French dip sandwich. Best I've ever had. Very nice place.

Yum, good sandwiches and cute atmosphere. Wish I'd known--I would have tried the cheesesteak. Had the italian instead and it was delicious. They use good bread.
