Four 66 Pub and Grille

Having Some extra time for lunch, decided to go to a local restaurant and see what the local fare was like. The 466 was easy enough to find.

I picked the Blue Cheese Haddock from the luncheon menu, and it did not disappoint me. The fish was flaky and light, the sauce complemented the fish, the breadcrumbs added the perfect amount of seasoning, and the blue cheese gave a nice sour bite to the overall dish. I tried it with and without squeezing some lemon juice on it, and found the combination of blue cheese and lemon juice work very well together.

Because I ordered from the luncheon menu, which is available from 12:00 to 4:00, the price was under $12.  

Places like this is why I like to avoid national and regional chains when traveling. Places like the 499 is a prime example of local food served right.

I love the 6's! Come on, you need to realize you aren't going to l'espalier when you come here. This is a pub in Danvers, not a fine dining establishment. They are great at what they do: good priced really well made (strong) cocktails, good priced beer, comforty pub food and all in a laid back environment with good friendly service.
The pizza is great and they have a nice variety of toppings apart from the usual stuff (I love goat cheese and prosciutto !). The 466 burger is another big hit, the chicken parm sandwich, all of the salads are great, the calamari, and of course we love the nachos. Growing up in Topsfield down the road this has been a staple for us as we have like nothing in town. This is our thanksgiving eve spot as well. The only thing I've ever not liked was the clam chowder but no big deal their menu is giant.

I have never enjoyed eating here.  The food is very expensive (at least $15 per plate) and it is similar to the food you'll get at the 99.  They think they are way fancier than they are.  They don't even let people wear tank tops in the dining room... hello this is a bar..
