Friday's South (not to be confused with the chain restaurant) is a great long established neighborhood bar in old Belleville. Â It's got old school "cheers-like" bar decor, lots of regulars of all ages and decent food. Â I have not tried the pizza, but the customers rave about it. Â Like all Illinois bars, it is nonsmoking.
Review Source:This is a popular neighborhood bar, and it's a great place to go with friends for snacks and beer. Â They have some of the best pizza in town, and the beer is cold and reasonably priced. Â Watch the signboard out front for specials on codfish cutups, appetizers and buckets of beer. This is another historic pub which you should include in your Belleville pub crawl if you can. Â It's 6 blocks south of Main street on Illinois (route 159), just down the street from Mariachi's and across from Hick's bar-b-queue. Game room and outdoor smoking area. Â Popular stop for poker runs, ball teams and you-name-it.
