In correspondence with the first review of this establishment, they now have a full menu and are serving food! Alongside the American classics (hamburgers, fries and whatnot), this place is now serving up Korean fusion! The owners are this very sweet Korean couple, so they've put a twist of some awesome food and mashed up the American classics with their flavor. Venture out of your comfort zone and don't be afraid to try the bulgogi burger.
Also, another thing to mention is that this place has been renovated not too long ago. The front area (closest to the door) used to have quarter pool tables, now it's an eloquent area with tables, which is just awesome to chill at! It also serves as a great eating place or waiting area for a pool table because this place gets PACKED.
They often have guest DJ's and special events going on as well so make sure to check up on that on your next visit.
I enjoy any establishment that has full size tables! So a plus on that. The waitresses are extremely kind and helpful! The one mentioned she just moved here a few days ago but she seemed to fit right in.
The drinks are ok, they seemed a little watered down (jack and coke) the shots are a bit pricey for the amount but nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall the establishment was pretty good and I definitely see myself coming back to this place :D
I'm not sure how this place haven't gotten any reviews yet. It's the Texas version of Emeryville's Broken Rack - and that in being bigger and a helluva lot cheaper. The owners (I'm assuming they're the owners -- they're always there at the front anyway) are totally nice and for whatever reason, the elderly man that chills at the check-in point makes me want to reach out and pet him. But I won't. For the sake of wanting to avoid sexual harassment lawsuits and whatnot. Plus his wife looks like she could throw down a few homies just for looking at her the wrong way.
Any-hoo.
I totally digressed.
I like it. I always end up getting the corner back table everytime I come in there. Only because I like that corner. I get two benches, two ashtrays and all the usage of the pool sticks that I want. Plus it gives me the advantage of being able to see everyone in the place without anyone noticing me. It's really cheap just to play. About five dollars per person for the whole night - and the price for the drinks at the bar? Dirt cheap.
All they're really missing are burgers and fries and other various forms of food that you can stuff your face with. Maybe they need to hook up with Freebirds or something. I'd enjoy that. Maybe.
