Decided to go to here on 06/23/13 because my wife nor I felt like cooking and wanted to go somewhere with reasonably priced food. Sorry we weren't that impressed by this place.

My wife and I went to this restaurant before and we weren't satisfied but that was a long time ago and long before I even heard of Yelp.

I honestly feel like this Friday's menu needs to be consolidated or reorganized. They had a lot of stuff on the menu which only confused me. At least the menu should of had a specialty section, that showed me the items they were experts at making, but it didn't.

I also feel like they should denote on their menu which food items are spicy. I say that because my wife isn't a fan of spicy foods so the item she ordered she couldn't enjoy it because it was spicy. She explained to me that it didn't taste bad but she just couldn't enjoy it. It was the same for me, for the item I ordered however, I'm not bothered by spicy foods so it wasn't as bad for me.

Our server was a little slow at times which was weird because we were here on a Sunday during lunch hours so the restaurant wasn't packed at all.

I don't know what it is about Friday's but no matter what, it seems that our experience is never really that pleasant.

I don't know maybe this place is better for happy hour. The food isn't bad it's just we would like better service and at least someone explain to us that we are ordering an entrée that is spicy since it isn't denoted in the huge menu.

I think I'll be staying away from Friday's for a while unless it's for happy hour or someone begs me.

I think this Fridays is the best looking restaurant ever. However, I went to the restaurant thinking it would be at least decent it was okay. The waitress didn't come over for 15 minutes thank goodness our hostess took our order instead and he was amazing. The appetizers were good and the jack daniels was okay but my chicken was burnt all over.

I travel a lot and hit a lot of Fridays. This one is below the Fridays average. The bar staff and manager are more absorbed in talking to each other rather than providing good service or cleaning the bar.
Not coming back to this one.

Burgers & Fries a Delicious combination that many know and love. This place makes pretty good food. Now I haven't tried that much of the stuff on the menu, but I have yet to be disappointed here. I came here on various occasions and all times I was happy with everything. Yes, including the service. The service I receive here is always friendly and polite not to mention quick too. I will defiantly continue to come to this place when ever I'm in the area with friends again. I find this place best with at least two or more people.

Now this place is clean and not just the eating area. The bathrooms are always in good working order which is good and expected from a food chain like this one. Now if your coming to the bar expect great service because that's what you'll get, or so that is what I got. The only down side to this place well isn't really a down side just more over a personal dislike is the stairs thing they have by the bar. however in all reality that isn't even a downside. I just hate dealing with stairs while I'm in heels if you catch my drift ladies. Aside from that I am very happy with this place.

Try the Chip 'n' Dip Trio Warm, crisp tostada strips served with three savory dips: White cheddar queso, Classic Mediterranean Hummus and salsa. Try the Grey Goose Vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, house-made sour, peach purée, fresh basil, and lime. I liked the new look of TGI Fridays Herndon.

I haven't been to a T.G.I. Friday's in ages and really never thought of it as anything other than a happy hour spot.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it's gotten, though, which is why I felt compelled to write this very review. :)

The Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad was delicious and was a very generous portion.

The service was great - the food came out promptly and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. I left a happy camper.

Came here for happy hour and appetizers with the wifey and friends. Had a blast, TGIF has a nice environment and atmosphere that makes your experience better. The servers are also friendly. I was drinking Bud Lights draft for 2 bucks!!! They also have $4 mojitos, long islands, and margarita's. The appetizers are half off during happy hour as well.

This location has the bar centrally located in the center of the restaurant which I though is pretty cool, kind of like saying "center of the party, right here". They also have booths close by and tables if the bar scene is not for you on that particular night or you are out with your family.

The food has always been great when I do come here to dine in. It always seems that at TGIF, they always have some specials going on which help you save on your bill. Desserts are to die for at this place. Not only is the presentation great, but the dish itself is amazing!!!.

Great place to bring family and or friends!!

I guess you can't expect too much from a local hangout that has been around forever. But service is just not really consistent. Sometimes we get an awesome server that knows if he takes care of us we will tip accordingly. But most of the time ie., the last 2 years service has been dismal at best. We are always better off just sitting at the bar. UGH

Where to start? I LOVE Fridays.. I always hear negative things about Fridays but its really one of my favorite places!! It was love at first taste about 8 years ago when I got a job as a hostess at the Sterling location. Although my job only last a year, my love for Fridays has lived on!! Since the Sterling location closed Herndon is the next best location.

Food: They have a variety of appetizers such as pot stickers, wings, spinach artichoke dip, tostado nachos, spicy queso, hummus etc..Their main courses such as cajun shrimp pasta, flat iron steak, caribbean chicken sandwich, sizzling chicken and cheese, and any of the Jack Daniels options(chicken, steak and burger) are DELICIOUS!!

Happy Hour: M-F 4-9pm Offers $2 domestic drafts, $3 imported and $4 margaritas, mojitos and long islands. From 4-Close they offer select half price appetizers and after 9pm they have select $5burgers

Fridays Rewards: its free to sign up and is awesome to have if you are a repeat customer like me. One point for every dollar you spend which you can later redeem for free food. Also make your to ask for the free rewards chips..theyre unlimited and yummy!

The service there is hit or miss. One server who does stick out for great customer service and friendliness is a guy named Matt! Make sure to request him!

Last but not least...Stop being stingy with the fries when you order burger or sandwiches especially the sweet potato fries(if you notice in my pic, i got about a handful).. NOT COOL!

I rarely go to Friday's, service is hit and miss, so is the food. This time, service was good. Food was confusing. We ordered the $10 special, my BF got the pulled pork bbq (which he says is ok), I got the korean tacos (more on that in a minute), he got the "beef" queso appetizer and I got the peanut butter pie (we split those two items). I also got the strawberry lemonade slushy. What I got was a lot of strawberry something, no lemonade that I could tell, poored over some crushed ice, it wasn't even cold. Just weird. The queso was pretty good but the "beef" was a small spoonful of what tasted like Hormel no bean chili. It was good but not exactly what we were expecting. Which brings me to the Korean tacos. First, they say they are korean bbq beef. There were 3 very small pieces of beef in each taco (you get more meat at Taco Bell, no lie). The asian lime/cilantro/ginger slaw? It was very soggy and cooked lettuce, with way too much of some flavorless dressing, which poured out of the tortillas, there was so much, you couldn't even pick up the tortilla to eat it, it had a couple of shreds of carrot and a chunk of cucumber. If there was ginger, lime or cilantro in there, it was definitely hiding. And this was in no way slaw. It was salad. And not even a good one. I do not like cooked lettuce so I picked it off and just ate the 3 pieces of meat per taco. Couldn't even eat the tortillas as they turned to mush. Thankfully, I filled up on the queso and since it was about a gazillion degrees, I wasn't that hungry anyway. I really would have liked a cold slushie, though.

Anyway, keep expectations low and you'll do ok. And don't go during a busy time, the service will be non-existent. If you go during a slow period, it's pretty good.

We'll probably go back, we go there about every six months or so, just for something different. But I ask myself Why every time.

This is one of our regular spots because one of my friends LOVES Fridays (don't know why lol) But the drinks are decent, they have happy hour specials on liquor and beer BEFORE 9 so if you want to enjoy some drinks defenitely come before 9PM. The food is pretty good, I will say that! The dumplings are delicious and so is the cajun chicken and shrimp pasta, YUMM! All in all it's an OK place

Although we mentioned we didnt eat pork, we got pork dumplimgs. The steak felt like we were eating a piece of wood. Burger was quite OK.

I'm not sure if I actually got the 3 for whatever special. I wasn't paying so i didn't see the bill and I didn't have full confidence that it was right. The place was really busy but the service kept up with it decently. Bathrooms were clean and the atmosphere high, and food the quality you'd expect from TGIFridays.

We hadn't been to this (or any other) TGI Friday's in years. My dad, who was visiting us, said that he would like to go here---so off we went on a Monday night around 5:30 p.m.

We were immediately seated and appreciated getting a good sized table so we didn't feel cramped. Our server was prompt, friendly and efficient.

When ordering drinks, I noticed that Friday's now has slushie-type non alcoholic drinks. I ordered a peach mango one and did enjoy it. My dad got a soda while my husband had non-alcoholic beer.

For entrees, I got the half rack of baby back ribs which came with ginger slaw and "seasoned fries". The ribs were properly cooked and the meat was falling off the bone. The sauce had some kick to it which gave the ribs a nice flavor. The slaw had too much dressing but was still edible---nothing to write home about but no complaints either. The seasoned fries were at their best when eaten when they were still hot.

My husband and my dad both got the petite sirloin, with my dad topping his with lobster sauce. When they say "petite", they mean it---it's a small, thin piece of meat. Both got their sirloins cooked properly. My husband said that it was a tough little steak. I reminded him that this wasn't a steakhouse plus it wasn't expensive so you get what you pay for. Still, both of them finished their meals.

To sum it up --- Friday's is the type of place where you can expect to get your money's worth and find decent, if not remarkable food. Yet it's not the type of place where you dream about going back to very soon. That said, no doubt we will return at some point.

This is one of our regular stops. I am impressed with their effort to provide some heart healthy menu alternatives such as the dragofire chicken/salmon. I am less impressed wth the salads and sandwhiches. For dessert, get the vanilla cheesecake

The food at this Friday's location is good . . . whenver you can get it. I have to say, I've visited this location several times since it's close to work. Each time just hoping something would be different. That's been insanity because each time, I believe the service gets even slower. I've tried going early (around 11:30am), I've tried going later in the lunch rush hour (12:30 - 12:45pm). No difference, service is still slow. If you have time to kill, then this TGI Fridays is the place for you.

The only time I come to this location is before i go watch a movie at Worldgate theatres. The service from the waitstaff is average. I normally prefer servers that get me what i need (refills, napkins, etc) without bugging me all the time, on that note, I had to ask for my refills everytime. The food is average as well. One of the appetizer that i tried was the buffalo wings tossed in BBQ sauce. It was dry and only half my wings had sauce on it. The big party table that was next to us was way too close for comfort. I know its not their fault, but the tables put together was very close to the booths where we were sitted, otherwise the kids that were at the table shouting wouldnt have been as annoying as it was. Other than that, one of my favorite dessert is here, the vanilla bean cheesecake. That is something that I always get when i go to a TGIF's. If it wasnt for the movie theatre, I most likely would not choose this place to eat.

Alright so I have started coming here recently after a few years of not going to Fridays, and their new meal options are great.

Being a picky eater I dont normally go for what real people would call food, that being said, Fridays now seems to offer adult oriented food that even appeals to me.

The location isnt too bad although you will most likely have to park in the garage. It can get a bit loud at times although i have only been there on friday evenings (just works out that way). Not really sure about the temperature, it tends to be on the chillier side so you might want to bring a light jacket if you tend to be cold.

The staff seem to be helpful.

Pricing is rather reasonable for the food and they have some good options available. As with most restaurants like this you can expect to pay ~$6 on up for anything alcoholic.
They do seem to haev coupons everywhere at the moment though so you can get some really good discounts, most likely wont last though since they are busy trying to advertise the "new" Fridays.

Overall i recommend hitting this place up if you are looking for something decent without spending too much.

I haven't been to a friday's in years, literally. I went to this one for lunch with some guys from work, and was very pleasantly surprised.

First up, we found a coupon online at http://retailmenot.com - free entree.

Second, they are giving away $10 gift cards when you buy one of the 20 new items on their menu (good for your next visit).

Third, the new burgers are damn good, nice work Friday's.

Fourth, $13 can get you an appetizer, entree (within limits), and a desert, pretty nice.

FYI: The wedge is seriously a head of lettuce, i warned you. ha.

The bad: salty as hell french fries... ha. Also service was a bit slow, but they were busy, so it's understandable.

Anyway, Friday's used to get a 1 in my book, but after this trip - I've upgraded it to a 3. ha.

The russian I got at the bar while waiting for my take out was good enough, but the chicken tenders I walked away with were pretty crappy. They tasted both overcooked at like they had been sitting on a hot plate for an hour. I suppose its possible they have some decent food, but what I had was not worth it.

I figure it's about time I write a review for this restaurant as I come here at least once a month.
Service is ok. The waiters/waitresses aren't overly friendly but they get the job done.
Food is pretty good, enough for us to come back every few weeks.

This place is never really crowded, which works for us as we have a toddler, we want a place that is family friendly, and allows us to get in and out before a tantrum occurs.

Right now they ask you to complete a survey after each visit, if you do you'll get a free appetizer your next visit. I love free food!

Went there for happy hour on a weeknight. Sat at the bar, waited several minutes for a single bartender to greet us - there were 3 females tenders and each passed us at least 3 times. Not the friendliest staff. Didn't see smiles or enthusiastic characters. Didn't checked on us once to see if we needed anything else.

Happy Hour runs until 9pm. $2 ML, BL, CL; $3 BM, and all Sams and $4 Margaritas and Mojitos. 1/2 certain apps.

Atmosphere was bland. Very dark and heavy feeling in the restaurant. Bar area is tiny and this place looks like a commuter bar. People step in for a beer and then leave immediately after. Not a place to mingle amongst the patrons nor the staff!

Try at your own risk. Not a fan of the food and probably won't be revisiting this establishment any time soon.

If you are looking for a cheap lunch than you really can't beat Fridays. They offer a lunch menu with burgers and salads. If you do it right you can get out for $10 or so.

The service here is fast and the people are friendly. If you are coming for lunch you want to get there a little earlier, the parking at World Gate can be a bear sometimes.

I figure I should write a review now. I've now been here 3 times in two months so I guess its due. The first time I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger from the lunch menu. They cooked it more than the medium that I requested but that was o.k. The burger itself actually had some decent flavor as did the fries. The next two times I ordered the all you can east salad and soup combo. Not too shabby for $7 bucks. For $7 bucks you also get a soda. The clam chowder is good as is the broccoli cheese soup. Those were the only two soups they had available those days. As for the salad, you really can't mess that up. The Cesar salad is good and not over dressed with the dressing. And the best part ALL YOU CAN EAT =). I have had other things here but those are just your typical chain type of foods. Wings, steaks, ribs, and so on.

The food here really isn't that bad, but things can get pricy if you come for dinner. So if you want a cheap and fast lunch then this is one of your best bets. So why the 4 stars for this chain restaurant? Why not, the food I had was good, the service was good, and the price was just right =) Oh yeah, this is only for the lunch rush. I have not had dinner at this location yet.

Today at lunch I was getting fired up, I mean FIRED UP, to write a scathing review about the consistenly bad service at this location. Then something happened. My coworkers let another waitress know that we had been waiting for-EVER for our drinks, and all of a sudden our formerly suckin' waitress was much more on the money.

Of course, our appetizer plates that we requested arrived long after we had finally given up and devoured the appetizers straight from the serving dishes. But that was before the service picked up.

I have to give the waitress points for remembering my order of the salad, considering my detox diet requires that I ask for all the fun stuff to be removed from food.

The menu ain't half bad for a chain joint. They've got some decently priced healthy lunch entrees near the back of the menu that tase a-ok.

It's still a godawful chain, in my opinion, but one that my meat-loving coworkers enjoy. And their company makes it worthwhile.

Vegans beware: almost nothing on the menu, save for the fries, will fit your bill.

Hey, they cleaned up!

I haven't been in a Friday's in a long time, and came here twice recently for work-related "activities". I noticed that unlike a couple years ago, there is no more sticky grime on the floor, and does not smell like sweaty tees any more. Of course, there's still the smoke reminent that you need to ensure, but that's a big step up from what it was offering.

Now, the food is alright, nothing fancy, nothing spectacular, but quite edible. Out of all offerings, I think my favorite is the Jack Daniels chicken strips. DO NOT TRY THEIR MAHI-MAHI -- They have no idea how to cook fish. But what really shines is the cheap drinks; happy hour on-tap starts at 2 bucks (1 @ $2, 1 @ $3 rotates every day of the week), although the $2 variety are usually "Lite" beers - hey, better than ice-tea, right?

Ehh. I'd say they're about on par with American Cafe. Used to come here a lot during high school when I lived at the apartment complex across the street. Two and a half stars. I'm tempted to give a three once I saw their twice a week happy hour prices on blue moon drafts. The BFF had the cheesy bacon cheeseburger which came with too much in the way of burger veggies, and somewhat bland french fries. My pork chop was cooked well if a little too charred, with mashed potatoes that were a little too thin in texture. Onion rings were okay, if smaller than I'm used to. Service was extra prompt since it was close to closing, but I feel bad for not noticing that they overchanged us til we got home. Yay for buy one get one free coupons.

TGI Friday's is the same just about everywhere you go. In Virginia, it's a bit smokier than most, but the people that work there are pleasant and the food is average, but you always know what to expect. If you like your steak rare, this is probably not the place for you. It took multiple attempts on the part of the cook to come up with something that my co-worker would even eat. But, I have to say, the Championship NY Strip with the cheddar mashed potatoes is worth strolling in for. The Gourmet Mac n Cheese, not so much. But, this place always has great drink specials and a nice long happy hour until 9pm, so I'm sure I will find myself here again when in town.
