I'm a fan of Giggles and have been to a few nights of comedy there - one as a fundraising night to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
I've always enjoyed the comedy and left very happy. The acts are usually a mix of local comedians and comedians that are more well known.
When you call ahead, you'll be able to reserve a table for the performance. The ticket cost does not include any food or drink.
Before and during the show wait staff attend to your table, so you're able to order dinner and drinks.
I recommend ordering pizza, as that's easy to see and still eat once the lights are dimmed for the show.
I had a great night here... we saw Lenny Clarke (one of the funniest guys alive), along with five other comedians in one night. Â All but one were funny... and Lenny absolutely killed!
We had a table to ourselves (group of 4) and a perfect line of sight to the stage. Â The service was prompt and friendly. Â We didn't get food (even though Prince is my favorite pizza) so I can't comment on that here.
Over all a very positive experience and I'll never hesitate to catch a show here in the future.
I can only attribute this review to extremely poor management. Â Their policy is to seat you with strangers, however they don't disclose this when you buy your tickets. Â They jam as many people as they can into a relatively small space (some guests seated directly in line with the back of the stage, completely unable to see the show). Â They wouldn't even consider accommodating us when we met up with 4 of our friends. Â Even though we all arrived an hour early, our friends sat with strangers and we sat with strangers, but couldn't be seated together. Â So we ate dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Somebody, although they didn't eat because the kitchen kept losing/forgetting their order (total wait time for their food: 90 min, well into showtime). Â The comics were decent. Â The food was mediocre. Â The waitstaff was satisfactory. Â I felt like a sucker by the end of the night.
Review Source:Went here the other night to check out a comedy show with some friends. 20 bucks at the door isn't bad and standard for prices in this area it seems. It's a pretty small club and it definitely has a family atmosphere to it, which could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for.
The first comedian was a dud but the next 2 had my laughing to the point where I couldn't breathe and wanted to throw up (that's a good thing) One of the guys was someone I've seen on comedy central specials before so I knew ahead of time I already liked him.
The food was bleh as hell. This place is apparently known for pizza and that might have been my mistake. The steak tips were good but obviously store bought pre-marinated ones. The pasta was right out of the box with a small amount of watered down canned sauce and the salad was really uninspiring.
Food wise, I dropped about 60 bucks for 2 meals, a long island iced tea
and 4 beers, so that's not bad. Â
Overall I had a really good time. I would definitely go back to this place but recommend to anybody to skip the food and spend that money on alcohol instead.
best comedy club around, by far...maybe the best in the country
you won't find better performances anywhere else but here...most comedy clubs give you 3 comedians (2 stiffs and a headliner)....giggles gives you 3 quality comedians and sometimes even more from people that stop by to do a guest spot...
better than any of those other fake clubs around
Decent acts in here. Â I saw Jackie The Joke Man Martling and Steven Wright one night. Â Food is average and the room kinda sucks but I came here for a case of the "lulz". Â
This place definitely is a nice comedy joint, especially on the north shore. Â I have never been to Kowloon's comedy stop, but I went to one in Boston and this is better in my view.
well this is what happens when you google fun and awesome you find a comedy club in saugus...oddly enough my sister and i ventured out for the later show on Saturday. It was filled with what id say cougars, a lot of divorced people...needless to say we were the youngest in there being in our 20's. However we laughed...thus the point. The food was decent..being bar food...and the waitress was pushy with the drinks...however no fun to be seated near bathrooms....
4/5 because of near the bathrooms is never any fun.
The food is average bar, the atmosphere church hall-ish and utilitarian -
but I laughed! And that is the point, I am assuming, of a comedy club. All three comedians we saw last Friday made me laugh. Which pleasantly surprised me.
I've only been here once, but it was a fun experience with friends, and I would go again!
